Benjamin Heisler is an adult and child clinical social worker. The primary goal of Benjamin’s clinical approach is a strong emphasis on establishing trust and building a therapeutic relationship to help patients achieve their goals.

Benjamin’s approach focuses on healing the Self and reducing physiological arousal. Benjamin will work with your care team to help receive collaborative supportive care. He received his master’s degree in social work from Touro College and is doing his post master’s degree therapy certification from New York University.

Benjamin has done internships working with veterans with substance abuse illnesses, children with a variety of mental health conditions, including trauma and complex trauma, and adults with trauma, anxiety, and depression. Benjamin takes this work seriously, using a variety of modalities. While using an anti-racist/oppressive lens, the modalities he uses include trauma-focused therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, play therapy, somatic therapy, and others. He looks forward to getting to know you more and learning more about how he can support you on your journey.
