Dr. Bruce Fischer is a board-certified psychiatrist who has been practicing adult psychiatry with over 34 years. He is additionally a Diplomate of the American and International Boards of Lifestyle Medicine with a longstanding interest in also helping his patients optimize biological, psychological and social influences on their health and wellbeing.
Dr. Fischer receiving his medical degree in 1984 from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut following previous undergraduate and graduate studies in psychology and graduation in 1980 with degrees with honors in biology and physical therapy.
After completion of residency training in 1998 Dr Fischer has provided inpatient psychiatric care in public and private hospital and forensic settings while maintaining an enduring primary interest and ongoing commitment to outpatient psychiatric practice. Dr. Fischer’s practice focuses on medication management and psychotherapy for adults with education and support for health practices in response to the needs and preferences of his patients.
