Corey Gonera, PMHNP, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. His treatment modalities include a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and psychopharmacology to help clients achieve their goals. Corey works primarily with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, PTSD, stress management, and major life changes. In addition, he has experience with and a passion for working with the LGBTQ+ community.
He received his Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner M.S. from Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing in New York City. While attending Hunter College, Corey completed a rotation at Gracie Square Hospital as a Nurse Practitioner Student assisting primary psychiatric providers in an inpatient setting. Corey then completed his undergraduate studies in Psychology at New York University, followed by an additional Bachelor of Science in Nursing, also at New York University.
Corey spent several years working as an inpatient nurse at the Mount Sinai Hospital in adult bone marrow transplant and oncology specialties. More recently, he worked at numerous outpatient facilities within the NYU Langone Health System.
