Deandria Brooks, LPC

Deandria Brooks, LPC has been practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate for four years and will soon be fully licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas.

Deandria believes it is important to focus on building strong therapeutic rapport to create a safe space for her clients. Through a genuine CBT approach, she utilizes techniques that help clients challenge their negative thinking patterns, confront their fears, and develop healthier coping skills to achieve their treatment goals.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Child and Family Studies from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL) in 2014. Although she was raised in Louisiana, where she grew to love her culture and appreciate her humble upbringing, Deandria always had the goal of returning to her birth state of Texas to further her education and expand her career opportunities. After completing her undergraduate degree, Deandria moved to Texas and later received her Master of Science degree in Counseling and Development in 2018 from Texas Woman’s University (TWU). Deandria has worked in various mental health environments, including managed care, a homeless shelter, and inpatient facilities/units in case management, crisis intervention, individual/group counseling, and assessment/intake roles.

Deandria strives to excel at serving diverse populations of adults and adolescents with concerns related to anxiety, ADHD, depression, and trauma. In the future, Deandria plans to increase her knowledge of maternal health and cultural issues to better connect and support individuals with these areas of concern.
