A collaborative approach is utilized emphasizing open communication, clearly articulated rationales for any proposed treatment measures, and utmost dedication to cultivating a doctor-patient therapeutic alliance rooted in mutual respect.

Dr. Derek Johnson earned his medical degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine just outside of Denver, Colorado, in 2014. After this, he moved to sunny South Miami, Florida to complete psychiatry residency training in 2018. Since then, he has worked exclusively with outpatients ages 18 and above, providing direct treatment oversight of oral prescription pharmacotherapy, intravenous ketamine, and neuromodulation via deep repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (dTMS) in various clinics in Florida, Georgia, and Colorado, most recently.

Dr. Derek Johnson is well-versed in treating patients ages 18 and across the spectrum of mental health disorders but takes particular interest in mood and anxiety disorders, adult attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and parasomnias.
