Dr. Erendira Orozco is a board-eligible Adult Psychiatrist who is starting her post-graduate practice with Talkiatry. Dr. Orozco is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Texas Society of Psychiatry Physicians since 2018.
Dr. Orozco's practice focuses on medication management which she offers in conjunction with supportive therapy, CBT, and problem-solving techniques during follow-up visits. If additional therapy is needed, she will refer you to a therapist to improve illness management and offer the best outcome possible. Dr. Orozco believes in building a strong therapeutic relationship with her patients. She will work collaboratively with you to create an adequate treatment plan, will provide psychoeducation and help you work towards your individual goal.
Dr. Orozco obtained her medical degree from The National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City. To continue her medical education, she moved to the USA and completed her Psychiatry Residency at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Dr. Orozco has experience treating patients with severe mental illness and underserved populations.
During her training she worked with diverse patient populations and psychiatric illnesses but her primary clinical focus is working with adult patients dealing with depression, anxiety, or trauma-related disorders.
