Dr. Jill Harrison is a general psychiatrist employed at Talkiatry and is board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology. She has over 16 years of experience treating patients. She graduated from Rush Medical College and then went on to complete her residency training at University of Illinois Medical Center/Psychiatry Department. After completing her training, Dr. Harrison fulfilled obligations through the National Health Service Corps. She worked in settings where there was a lack of psychiatric providers, including prisons and community mental health clinics in rural areas. Recently, Dr. Harrison worked in a residential, addiction treatment facility and helped care for patients with co-occurring disorders.
Prior to Talkiatry, Dr. Harrison treated individuals with severe mental health disorders at a psychiatric assertive community treatment program. Working with diverse patient populations has given her a unique perspective and extensive experience treating individuals with mental health conditions. Dr. Harrison has an interest in treating patients with mood disorders, co-occurring substance use disorders but can also evaluate/treat patients with other psychiatric diagnoses. She is a member of the American Medical Association and American Psychiatric Association.
