For the past twenty three years I have been working with clients from various backgrounds and presenting issues as a licensed therapist in both private and agency settings. I am a native New Yorker, and find my background as a non-judgmental, open minded, and compassionate person has aided in the treatment I offer. I believe in collaborative, client led therapy, largely utilizing a psychodynamic approach. I have extensive experience working with the LGBTQ+ community, treating PTSD, familial/partner conflicts, depression, substance misuse, and anxiety disorders. I am a graduate of New York University School of Social Work and have continued my education to include training in Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, including trauma focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My approach begins with meeting a client where they are currently and creating a relationship of trust and alliance to help them achieve their goals and remove barriers in their lives.
