Katherine currently holds the position of Associate Director for Behavioral Health Education & Training at a community health center. She oversees the BH internship program & provides supervision to staff. Katherine has been practicing for over 14 years in mental health as a social worker, including work in hospitals, long-term care facilities, nursing homes & inpatient units.

Katherine’s practice focuses on individual therapy, specifically with adults who identify with the LGBTQI population. She implements eclectic modes of psychotherapies, to help individuals understand and overcome barriers which are preventing them from reaching important goals.

Katherine received her social work degree from Stony Brook University in Long Island. Since completing her degree she's received certifications in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy at the Albert Ellis Institute, in Psychoanalysis at The Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies, and a Supervisor In Field Instructor Certificate from Fordham University. Katherine is licensed in NY and NJ.

In addition to general psychotherapy with adults, Katherine has trained in psychoanalysis, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy at the emdria institute, EMDR in Neuroscience to treat Complex Trauma and has conducted didactics on personality disorders, specifically Borderline Personality and OCD.
