Dr. Vasu received her medical degree from J.N Medical college Belgaum, India, completed her residency at Jamaica Hospital, NY, and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Mount Sinai, Elmhurst Hospital. After completing training, Dr. Vasu remained and worked at Mount Sinai, Elmhurst hospital, where she worked primarily in the outpatient clinic, treating patients of all age groups, before becoming the Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry outpatient. She has held faculty positions at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and St George's University, Grenada. She has also worked for Iris Telehealth at outpatient facilities in Piedmont, Virginia, and Redco behavioral health, Pennsylvania, treating adults, children, and adolescents with various psychiatric disorders.

In addition to general, adult, and child psychiatry, Dr. Vasu is also board-certified in Integrative and Holistic Medicine. While she has treated patients with various psychiatric disorders, her primary focus is providing medication management for patients with Anxiety, Depression, and ADHD, in conjunction with lifestyle modification strategies, and mindfulness-based stress reduction therapies.
