Dr. LaKeisha Watson is a triple board certified psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Forensic Psychiatry. She has been practicing for over 14 years. Dr. Watson completed her undergraduate studies at university of Alabama at Birmingham. She received her medical degree from the Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, OH and completed her general residency in Chicago at Loyola University Psychiatry Residency. Her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Forensic Fellowships were completed at Prisma Health (formerly Palmetto Richland Hospital) in Columbia, SC. After completing training, she worked at Altapointe Health Systems.

Dr. Watson has worked at Atrium Health for 12 years prior to joining Talkiatry. She has provided psychiatric services in various settings including the inpatient unit, consult liaison services, and the emergency room. Though she has worked in a variety of settings seeing patients of varied ages and backgrounds, Dr. Watson's primary focus is working with children and their families to address mood and anxiety related disorders.
