Dr. Planche is a bilingual (Spanish) child and adolescent psychiatrist, and adult psychiatrist. She completed her undergraduate training at Stony Brook University and earned her medical degree at the American University of Antigua. She completed her psychiatry residency at Icahn School of Medicine/Elmhurst Hospital Medical Center and then competed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Nassau University Medical Center
Dr. Planche provides psychiatric medication management in a comprehensive manner, paying careful attention to each patient’s unique biological, psychological and cultural make-up. Her years of training has instilled strong communication skills with patients that have mental illness. Dr. Planche’s approach embraces the connection between mind and body, and she uses a combination of pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy to treat psychiatric illness and improve quality of life.
The conditions she treats include depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, panic disorder and ADHD. In addition, she enjoys helping the patient explore a holistic approach to their mental health treatment.
