Dr. Michael Cerullo is a board-certified adult psychiatrist at Talkiatry. He has been practicing psychiatry for 18 years.
Dr. Cerullo’s practice focuses on medication management. Typically, he offers this in conjunction with supportive or emotionally focused therapy in 30-minute follow-up visits. However, occasionally Dr. Cerullo may believe that additional therapy is also needed and ask that you bring a therapist into your care team to provide the best outcome.
He received his medical degree from the St. Louis University School of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. Dr. Cerullo them completed a one-year fellowship in cognitive neuroscience and MRI imaging at the University of Kentucky. After completing his training, he worked for a decade in academic medicine at the University of Cincinnati treating and studying Depression and Bipolar Disorder. He has been working in community mental health and in private practice the last 8 years.
Dr. Cerullo specializes in the treatment of mood disorders, specifically depression and bipolar disorder. He has published peer-reviewed articles on the pathophysiology and treatment of bipolar disorder and major depression and has nearly two decades of clinical experience.
