Dr. Parthy Shah practices psychiatry in the form of a holistic approach through medication management and psychotherapy (talk therapy). She believes in treating the whole person and focuses on biopsychosocial factors contributing to one's mental illness.

Dr. Shah obtained her undergraduate BS in Nutrition from The Ohio State University. She then obtained her MD at the American University of Antigua. Dr. Shah has significant research, teaching, and clinical experience in the field of psychiatry. She was fortunate to work with Dr. Ronal Fieve, one of the pioneers in Lithium for Bipolar Disorder. She has multiple scientific publications, poster presentations, book chapters, and case reports as well as experience in community psychiatry prior to joining her residency training to become a psychiatrist. Dr. Shah has completed her Adult Psychiatry residency training at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, Queens, NY.

Though Dr. Shah has experience with treating ADHD, substance abuse, eating disorders, women's mental health and reproductive psychiatry and domestic abuse; her primary clinical focus has been in treating depression and anxiety in adults.
