Dr. Shannon Ordon is a staff psychiatrist at Talkiatry. She is a board-certified psychiatrist trained in adult psychiatry and is board-eligible in forensic psychiatry. She has been practicing for over 5 years.
Dr. Ordon’s practice focuses primarily on medication management, though she routinely incorporates therapeutic techniques into her visits. She prioritizes a collaborative and holistic approach to treatment, providing support that looks at the whole person, including their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
She received her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and completed her psychiatry residency at the Stewart and Linda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA where she served as chief resident of inpatient psychiatry. While in Los Angeles, she also provided on-site and field-based psychiatric services to homeless individuals struggling with severe mental illness, and to individuals released from the LA County jail system. She completed a forensic psychiatry fellowship at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
