Susan Daly grew up in Southeastern Connecticut and since graduation from medical school and subsequent fellowships, has continued to practice psychiatry in Connecticut. “We’ve almost all been anxious or depressed at some point”, she says. At any give time one in five adults is struggling with issues that make them unhappy, withdrawn, or struggling with relationships or work. The nice thing about psychiatry is that it can help restore your own ability to become optimistic again. She has seen that most patients, with the help of psychiatry, become happy with their lives again. Whatever it is that has made a person feel unsatisfied with his or her life, can likely benefit from a combination of talk therapy and medication therapy. Dr. Daly graduated from the University of Connecticut Medical School and has done additional training at Yale University and Brown School of Medicine. She enjoys treating adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. She and her husband enjoy kayaking and going to the movies in their free time. She also enjoys amateur photography. She has four grown children and “the cutest grandchildren in the world.
