Dr. Yarelis Guzmán Quiñones is a board-certified psychiatrist and a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. She has been practicing for the past 4 years. Born and raised in the beautiful Island of Puerto Rico, she is fluent in Spanish and English. Dr. Guzmán Quiñones's focuses on medication management and she offers this in conjunction with supportive, cognitive and dialectical based therapy in a 30-minute follow up visit.

She received her medical degree with honors from San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Caguas, PR before moving to Florida to complete her residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL where she served as chief resident in her final year. After completing training, Dr. Guzman Quiñones worked at Baptist Behavioral Health in Fleming Island FL, providing outpatient care. Life brought her to Maryland where she continues to provide outpatient care of the highest quality to her patients.

Dr. Guzmán Quiñones focuses on the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, as well as ADHD and OCD. While having treated a wide variety of patients in different settings, her primary clinical focus has been treating adults with co-occurring disorders.
