Reminders for your first therapy visit
Set yourself up for success
- Make sure you’re in the state listed in your profile when joining your visit. Otherwise, we’ll need to reschedule your visit due to state laws.
- Choose a comfortable, private space for your visit. A quiet, well-lit room helps your therapist hear and see you clearly.
- Your therapist won’t be able to meet with you if you’re in a moving car, even if you’re not the driver.
Joining your visit
- We’ll email a link to your virtual visit about an hour before your appointment. You can join using a phone, tablet, or computer, as long as it has a camera and a strong internet connection. We recommend testing your Wi-Fi in advance.
- If you’re using a phone, download the healow app for Apple or Google before your first visit. Please silence your phone to avoid interruptions.
- If you’re using a computer, we recommend using Google Chrome and closing any other tabs you have open.
- We suggest logging in about 10 minutes early so you have time to make sure everything’s working properly.

Next steps after your visit
- If you have questions, send your therapist a message through your patient portal or the Healow app. They’ll respond within three business days.
- Let your therapist know about any changes in your symptoms or challenges you’re facing.
- We’ll send you a bill by email. Just follow the link to pay it.
