About the role:
We’re hiring a Senior Manager to serve as the right hand to our Head of Business Operations. This role sits within Operational Excellence, a high-impact vertical of Core Operations – the backbone of Talkiatry.
This is a highly analytical and strategic position focused on using data to identify operational inefficiencies, improve patient retention, and drive profitability. You’ll lead with insights, surfacing root causes and opportunities, and partner cross-functionally to turn those insights into scalable improvements across the organization.

Talkiatry transforms psychiatry with accessible, human, and responsible care. We’re a national mental health practice co-founded by a patient and a triple-board-certified psychiatrist to solve the problems both groups face in accessing and providing the highest quality treatment.

60% of adults in the U.S. with a diagnosable mental illness go untreated every year because care is inaccessible, while 45% of clinicians are out of network with insurers because reimbursement rates are low, and paperwork is unduly burdensome.   With innovative technology and a human-centered philosophy, we provide patients with the care they need—and allow psychiatrists to focus on why they got into medicine.

You will:

  • Analytics & Decision Support
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify inefficiencies, blockers, and missed opportunities across patient and provider journeys
  • Use data to identify high-friction workflows and partner with teams to streamline and automate where possible
  • Build and maintain dashboards, models, and frameworks that help leadership understand patient retention, leakage, and operational performance
  • Synthesize findings into clear insights and recommendations that inform both strategy and execution
  • Track key business metrics and create reporting packages for senior leadership
  •
  • Strategic Execution & Program Support
  • Partner with the Head of Business Operations on key initiatives, providing analytical support and structured problem solving
  • Lead project management and cross-functional coordination for pilots, workflow changes, or service line expansions
  • Support long-term planning, including value-based care initiatives, automation strategies, and P&L optimization

  • Patient Journey Optimization
  • Analyze patient lifecycle data to uncover churn points, design interventions, and track success over time
  • Collaborate with Product, Clinical, and Marketing to implement changes that improve patient retention and engagement

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as a connector across teams, ensuring insights are translated into execution by building buy-in with key stakeholders
  • Support communication of business performance, strategic priorities, and initiative progress to internal audiences

You have:

  • 4-7 years of experience with a foundation in top-tier consulting, investment banking, high-growth operations or similar roles
  • Exposure to healthcare, particularly in innovative delivery models, is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Strong analytical skills (Excel, SQL a minimum) with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
  • Experience developing internal and external-facing executive level presentations
  • Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication
  • Bachelor’s degree
Compensation range for this position is $135,000 to $165,000, and up to a 10% performance bonus, depending on experience; actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, location, as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills and certifications.
