You will:
- Editorial strategy and calendars: Own and manage integrated editorial calendars that align content production with business goals.
- Own blog and newsletter: Lead the evolution of our blog and newsletter into the leading digital destination for trusted mental health content, shaping editorial strategy, voice, and cadence across patient and provider audiences.
- SEO production: Partner with our SEO agency to refine briefs, ensuring all content has strong strategic foundations and meets editorial and clinical standards. Hire and manage a roster of freelance writers to produce content.
- Content QA & Medical Review: Serve as the final editorial checkpoint for all published content—editing for clarity, tone, grammar, and compliance—and lead the medical review process, including routing and version control.
- Audience Development:Help evolve our content strategies to grow and deepen audience engagement across platforms, with a focus on patient and provider needs. Evolve our voice and tone to meet those audiences.
- Educational Content Development:Lead the creation of patient-facing educational content, including scripting for multimedia formats like video explainers and clinician-led content.
You have:
- You have 7+ years of experience in journalism, content operations, or content marketing—ideally with time spent in regulated, human-centered industries (e.g., health care, finance, education)
- You’ve led or scaled multi-channel content programs including SEO, email, blogs, newsletters, and landing pages.
- You’re comfortable with clinical or compliance review processes and excel at translating complex, sensitive topics into content that feels clear, empathetic, and accurate.
- You’re highly organized and able to manage content workflows from ideation through review and publication.
- You’ve worked cross-functionally with marketing, design, SEO, and/or clinical teams, and you bring strong communication, prioritization, and editing skills.
- You bring a background in journalism, publishing, or professional editing, and a strong editorial eye for shaping clear, consistent, high-quality content.
