Harahasu Barot, DO

Dr. Barot is a board-certified adult psychiatrist specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry.
He completed his psychiatry residency training at Unity Health-White County Medical Center
and a fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Cleveland Clinic. He has practiced in a
variety of settings both inpatient and outpatient encompassing both rural and urban

Dr. Barot completed his undergraduate studies at Georgia State University where he majored in
Biology. He received both his masters and medical degree from Philadelphia College of
Osteopathic Medicine - GA Campus. He then went on to complete his adult psychiatry
residency White County Medical Center in Searcy, AR where he served as junior chief. Dr. Barot's
passion working with younger population led to him to complete his child & adolescent
psychiatry fellowship at Cleveland Clinic where he served as Academic Chief.
He has a wide range of experience in depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorders, and

Alicia Batson, MD

Staff Psychiatrist

Dr. Batson is board-certified in psychiatry and dual-trained in internal medicine. Since recovering from her own chronic pain journey, she has specialized in the education, diagnosis, and treatment of Chronic Primary Pain and other Psychophysiologic Disorders.

She works with each patient to determine the best course of treatment for them - medication management, lifestyle modification, psychotherapy, or a combination depending on each patient’s particular diagnosis and needs. She also refers patients to various print and online resources to help them better understand their conditions.

Born and raised in Nashville, TN, Dr. Batson earned her bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University. She graduated from The University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center College of Medicine and completed her residency training in Combined Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Dr. Batson specializes in the education, diagnosis, and treatment of Chronic Primary Pain and other Psychophysiologic Disorders. She has found that when patients understand how their minds, when under stress, can create real physical symptoms in the body and are guided in appropriate pain-specific therapy, they are often able to fully recover and get their lives back.

Swagato Bhattacharyya, DO

Dr. Swagato Bhattacharyya has completed his residency training at Northwell, and is a board eligible psychiatrist. Dr. Bhattacharyya takes a holistic approach to patient care, establishing strong physician-patient relationships built on trust, respect, and communication. He focuses on medication management primarily, and also provides supportive psychotherapy. The treatment sessions will be tailored to work towards a common goal to optimize one’s mental well-being.

Dr. Bhattacharyya graduated magna cum laude from undergraduate Binghamton University, received his medical degree from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his residency in psychiatry at Northwell Mather Hospital. He has trained in various settings including adult/ adolescent psychiatric units and specialty clinics, along with experience in telepsychiatry visits.

Dr. Bhattacharyya has experience in treating numerous mental conditions, including depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, ADHD and OCD. Andrea Birnbaum, MD

Dr. Birnbaum is a board-eligible adult psychiatrist, starting her post-residency practice with Talkiatry. Dr. Birnbaum provides medication management together with psychotherapy. She has an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from psychodynamic therapy, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness-based therapies. Occasionally, Dr. Birnbaum may believe that additional therapy is also needed and ask that you bring a therapist to your care team.

Dr. Birnbaum welcomes patients from diverse backgrounds. She strives toward trauma-informed care and cultural humility. She is fluent in English and Spanish, and provides care in both languages. Dr. Birnbaum completed her undergraduate degree at Colby College, a liberal arts college in Maine, where she majored in cultural anthropology. She then served 2 years with AmeriCorps. Colter Boita, DO

Colter Boita is originally from Colorado. He joined the Army at age 19, where he served 4 years to the rank of sergeant, having spent 1 year in Southern Baghdad, Iraq in a combat infantry regiment. After the military he completed his undergraduate degree at Fort Lewis College in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a minor in philosophy.

During undergrad he also started a nonprofit organization in East Africa, which focused on targeting micro finance loans for low income HIV positive patients, which received a scholarship and recognition from Clinton's global initiatives university. He went to medical school at Edward Via College for Osteopathic Medicine in Virginia and completed his residency in psychiatry at Maimonides Medical Center.

Emmalee Boyle, MD

Dr. Emmalee Boyle is a board-certified adult psychiatrist who specializes in providing patient-centered care. She offers a mix of medication management in conjunction with supportive therapy in 30-minute follow-up visits. Dr. Boyle’s areas of interest include treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and co-occurring substance use disorders. In addition, she enjoys helping the patient explore a holistic approach to their mental health treatment.

She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed her general psychiatry residency training at Boston University Medical Center, where she was selected as co-chief resident. She also completed an additional post-graduate fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Psychoanalysis.

During training, she worked with an ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse patient population with various psychiatric illnesses and has experience navigating the many intersecting systems of mental health care. In addition, she worked with experts in the fields of psychosis and substance abuse. She also co-authored a book chapter on the immune system and psychiatric illness. Dr. Boyle also has particular clinical interests in immigrant and refugee health.

Yanina Brayman, MD

Dr. Yanina Brayman is double board-certified in adult and forensic psychiatry. She completed her undergraduate training at the University of Pennsylvania and her medical training at New York Medical College. She completed her psychiatry residency training at the New York University School of Medicine and then completed a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Brayman has worked in various inpatient and outpatient medical settings, including hospitals, private practice, and community mental health organizations, where she held leadership roles and taught medical students, residents, and fellows. Additionally, she collaborated with primary care providers as a consulting psychiatrist to help them treat various mental health problems.

Dr. Brayman has extensive experience treating a wide range of patients. She emphasizes a collaborative approach tailored to the individual needs of her patients to help them achieve their goals and realize their potential. Mayra Cabrera Dean, MD

Dr. Cabrera is a board‐certified psychiatrist with several years of experience working with an ethnically and culturally diverse population in outpatient, inpatient, and psychiatric emergency room settings. Most recently, Dr. Cabrera practiced privately treating adults with a wide range of mental illnesses both in person and via telepsychiatry. Prior to this, she was an attending psychiatrist in the outpatient department and in the Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation Center at Mount Sinai Beth Israel where she also served as Associate Training Director of Psychiatric Residency Training. Dr. Brenda Y. Camacho holds the position of Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry. She is board-certified in Adult Psychiatry. She has been practicing for over 25 years.

Dr. Brenda Y. Camacho’s practice focuses on medication management. Typically she offers this in conjunction with supportive or insight-oriented therapy in 30-minute follow-up visits. She received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and then continued with Temple for her residency in adult psychiatry. After completing training, Dr. Camacho worked at Cooper Hospital in Camden NJ as Associate Director of Consultation/Liaison Service and Psychiatry Residency Training and Co-Director of the Neuropsychiatry Clinic. Lynnea Carder, MD

Dr. Carder has been practicing for over 20 years in general adult psychiatry. She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has a certification in Elder Law. She has advanced training in psychopharmacology which she earned with distinction.

Dr. Carder's practice focuses on medication management. Typically, she offers this in conjunction with supportive therapy in 30-minute follow-up visits. She received her medical degree from the University of Toledo, College of Medicine and Life Sciences where she was given the outstanding medical student award by the Department of Head and Neck Surgery. She completed her internship with the Department of Family medicine and completed her residency with the Department of Psychiatry both at the University of Toledo, College of Medicine and Life Sciences.

Throughout her career, she has been the Medical Director of two Community Mental Health Centers and is also the Corporate Medical Director for a company providing neuropsychiatric and general psychiatric care to patients residing in nursing facilities. She received her certification in Elder Law through the Mitchell Hamline School of Law. She has also been a preceptor for numerous universities and has trained advanced practice providers in psychiatry.

In addition to general adult and geriatric psychiatry, Dr. Carder’s areas of interest include complex psychiatric and medical conditions, neuropsychiatric issues, and treatment-resistant cases. Maria Carvajal-Ramirez, MD

Dr. Maria Teresa Carvajal is an adult, child, and adolescent psychiatrist. She is originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador, and is bilingual in Spanish and English.

Dr. Carvajal earned her medical degree from Universidad de Guayaquil in Ecuador. She then participated in a medical program at The William J. Harrington Training Program for Latin America and the Caribbean, at Jackson Memorial Hospital, an affiliate of University of Miami in Florida. Afterwards, she completed her adult psychiatry residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Bronx Care Health System and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Northwell Health in New York. She has experience working in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, and the emergency department.

Dr. Carvajal has submitted and presented work in the American Psychiatric Association and has also collaborated in a book publication.

Dr. Carvajal has experience treating children and adults with anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, dementia, etc. She utilizes medication management in conjunction with emotional and supportive therapy in 30-minute follow-up visits. Lourdes Chahin, MD

Dr. Lourdes J Chahin is a bilingual (Spanish) Child, Adolescent and Adult psychiatrist. She completed her adult residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, and her Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She has over 20 years of experience helping children, adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, phobias, bipolar mood disorder and many other psychiatric conditions.

Dr. Chahin has practiced in various settings over her career: outpatient private practice, community mental health, Nurse Practitioners and medical student supervision, partial hospitalization and dual diagnosis rehabilitation programs. She is licensed in the states of New York, Florida and Georgia.

She also volunteers at the largest free clinic in Florida, helping uninsured children, teenagers and families who cannot otherwise afford mental health care. She enjoys writing medical poetry, and her poems have been published in the AACAP journal.

Dr. Chahin is very passionate about what she does and she loves making a difference in people’s lives. It is her philosophy to consider patients and their families as unique, taking the time to listen carefully to all of their concerns, building trust gradually and offering medications only when absolutely necessary. Benjamin Chambers, MD

Dr. Joe Chambers is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of adults who has been practicing for 7 years. His practice focuses on medication management and brief psychotherapy for patients struggling with a wide array of psychological problems. For patients who need more intensive psychotherapy, Dr. Chambers works closely with a team of therapists who can step in and provide additional interventions.

Dr. Chambers attended medical school at Texas A&M College of Medicine and completed his residency training at the University of Colorado in Denver. Having completed training, he returned to Austin, TX, and was an inpatient psychiatrist and Assistant Professor for Dell Medical School. He was extensively involved in resident physician education and helped run the medical school’s primary inpatient mental-health training site throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. He was known amongst residents for his strong focus on utilizing psychotherapy to better understand and treat patients regardless of the treatment setting.

Ivan Chavarria-Siles, MD

Dr. Chavarria-Siles is Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry. He completed his psychiatry residency training at the Icahn School of Medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. While completing his training as psychiatrist, he also completed a PhD in Neurosciences at the VU University Amsterdam, in The Netherlands. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Costa Rica, and prior to starting his residency training he completed a research fellowship in Psychiatric Genetics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

After completing his residency training, Dr. Chavarria-Siles moved to Massachusetts where he worked as staff psychiatrist for Baystate Health. He moved back to New York in 2019 to start a position as the Medical Director of the Partial Hospitalization Program at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Prior to joining Talkiatry, he worked as Inpatient Unit Chief at Northwell South Oaks Hospital.

Dr. Chavarria-Siles has experience treating adult patients suffering of anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, and bipolar disorder. He has experience providing psychiatric care in Spanish to the Hispanic population using a cultural competence approach. He also has experience providing psychiatric care to patients living with chronic medical conditions, and patients in the LGBTQ+ community.

Serena Chen, MD

Dr. Serena Chen completed her psychiatry training at Harvard South Shore where she also served as the Chief of Wellness. In addition to her residency training, she pursued further therapy training at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute.

Dr. Chen believes in combining management and therapy for best treatment outcomes. She takes a patient centered and collaborative approach with the aim of helping patients achieve their own personal vision for improved well-being.

She had previously worked as a consultant before deciding to pursue a career in medicine. After completing her medical training at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Michigan, she moved to Boston for her psychiatry residency at Harvard South Shore. During her time there, she served as the Chief of Wellness and published within this domain. Cyndia Choi, MD

Dr. Cyndia Choi has been board certified in psychiatry since 1991. Her specialty is medication management, however, she believes that a therapeutic relationship is crucial to treatment. Dr. Choi values the privilege of getting to know each patient personally to develop a patient-centered plan of care.

Typical follow-up appointments with Dr. Choi are 30 minutes in length for to check on medication effects and supportive therapy. If she believe that you may benefit from more in depth therapy, she may recommend adding a therapist to your treatment team. Dr. Choi also believes in a holistic approach toward helping you achieve a healthy and fulfilling quality of life.

Dr. Choi has 30 years of experience with a diverse population of cultures, LGBTQ issues, from young adults to seniors. She has treated patients who have had a broad spectrum of diagnoses including major depressive disorder, post traumatic stress, bipolar disorder, OCD, panic and anxiety, and addiction. Although the majority of her work has been in outpatient care, Dr. Choi has worked in emergency settings, inpatient units, and consultation-liaison to medical units. She has also enjoyed the honor of working with US military veterans.

After attending Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore for her Bachelors Degree, Dr. Choi received her medical degree from The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey at Rutgers Medical School. Sharonda Clark, MD

Dr. Clark is a double board certified psychiatrist specializing in General and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She completed her psychiatry residency training at Baylor College of Medicine and subsequent child fellowship at UT Health Science Center of Houston. Over her career, she has provided quality patient-centered care in various community mental health, inpatient, outpatient, residential, consult liaison and emergency room settings in Texas and New Jersey. Additionally, Dr. Clark has held volunteer academic appointments where she instructed medical students, residents & fellows at Baylor College of Medicine, UT Southwestern and Rutgers.

With more than 8 years of experience treating culturally diverse patient populations with anxiety, depression, bipolar, ADHD, disruptive behavior disorders, family and relationship issues, and other mental health issues, Dr. Clark has a strong dedication to ensuring all her clients have access to evidence-based treatment regardless of age, race, or socio-economic status.

Holly Clark, MD

Dr. Clark is a board-certified adult psychiatrist. She is fellowship-trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and she has been in practice for 11 years.

Dr. Clark focuses on working with patients to create an environment where they feel comfortable and supported.  She focuses on medication management along with supportive therapy. Normally visits are 30-minute follow-ups to allow time to focus on areas of support needed.  If additional therapy is recommended she will request a therapist will be added to your care team to meet all of your needs.

She received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina.  She then completed her residency training at the Medical College of Georgia.  She continued with her training in child and adolescent fellowship there as well.  

She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings with adult and child and adolescent populations.  She has worked in private practice as well as community mental health where she worked with reaching under-served communities.

Dr. Clark has a passion for treating both adult and child and adolescent patients with anxiety and depression.

Dr. Cohen is a board-eligible psychiatrist with experience serving diverse populations. Based in Florida, Dr. Cohen earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Florida, her law degree from Stetson University College of Law, and her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine. She completed her psychiatry residency training at Meharry Medical College.

Dr. Cohen's practice focuses on medication management, which she offers with supportive or emotionally focused therapy in 30-minute follow-up visits. Susan Daly, MD

Susan Daly grew up in Southeastern Connecticut and since graduation from medical school and subsequent fellowships, has continued to practice psychiatry in Connecticut. “We’ve almost all been anxious or depressed at some point”, she says. At any give time one in five adults is struggling with issues that make them unhappy, withdrawn, or struggling with relationships or work. The nice thing about psychiatry is that it can help restore your own ability to become optimistic again. She has seen that most patients, with the help of psychiatry, become happy with their lives again. Whatever it is that has made a person feel unsatisfied with his or her life, can likely benefit from a combination of talk therapy and medication therapy. Dr. Daly graduated from the University of Connecticut Medical School and has done additional training at Yale University and Brown School of Medicine. She enjoys treating adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. She and her husband enjoy kayaking and going to the movies in their free time. She also enjoys amateur photography. She completed her psychiatry residency training at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt, where she served as the chief resident. She has practiced in various settings over her career including working for the Department of Defense, private practice as well as community mental health. Dr. Delima-Tokarz is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.

She has more than five years of experience treating patients with anxiety, depression, PTSD, Bipolar, OCD, ADHD, and other mental health issues. She employs pharmacotherapy along with supportive therapy and integrative approaches. Dr. Delima-Tokarz is currently working on completing her Ph.D. in Integrative Medicine and is passionate about a holistic and integrative approach to mental health. Her philosophy includes a healing-oriented approach that considers the whole person, including all aspects of lifestyle. She aims to provide collaborative and comprehensive care which may include medication management, lifestyle interventions, stress reductions techniques as well as other integrative approaches. She believes building a strong therapeutic relationship where the patient feels empowered is the key to healing.
