Carla Denham, MD

Dr. Denham is board-certified in adult psychiatry and has 25 years of experience with depression and anxiety disorders, PTSD, substance use disorders, dementia, traumatic brain injury, mental symptoms associated with medical conditions, family care, and end-of-life treatment.

Dr. Denham's practice combines medication management with functional and integrative medicine principles, combined with supportive therapy in 30-45 minute follow up visits. She strongly encourages her patients to continue learning about foundational health and wellness and can provide resources for obtaining quality information.

Dr. Denham completed her medical education at the University of Arizona in Tucson and her residency training at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. She has worked in inpatient settings in both Arizona and New York and with a large hospice in Arizona. Most recently she worked with veterans at the Phoenix VA Medical Center before leaving to focus on telehealth practice.

Dr. Denham's lifelong interest in integrative medicine has led her to focus on functional psychiatry in her current practice, in which the effects of medication are strengthened with nutrition guidance, natural supplementation, lifestyle interventions, and supportive therapy.
