Elijah Jackson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with years of experience working in the mental health and social work field. Elijah has worked with a variety of populations of varied backgrounds and identities. Elijah received a Bachelor of Social Work degree at CUNY Hunter College in New York, NY, and obtained a Master of Social Work degree at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
Elijah has been practicing as a Therapist for 3 years focusing primarily on identity-related challenges including; Gender/Sexuality exploration, Race/Ethnic identity concerns, Religious/Cultural trauma, and Sex/Intimacy issues. Elijah also has experience helping clients navigate issues related to depression, anxiety, and ADHD/Neurodivergent disorders. Clients who work with Elijah will benefit from compassion focused treatment that is rooted in Elijah’s Trauma-informed, Anti-Racist background.
Elijah uses many different therapeutic frameworks and theorems in sessions including; Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Mindfulness practice, Transtheoretical work, Sex positivity, and Queer theory. Elijah has worked with clients from all walks of life but finds that he has a particular interest in working with BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ clients. Elijah understands how important it is to be gentle, warm, and caring in session as well as to seek new resources to help meet each client's unique needs.
