Dr. Garrick begins therapeutic relationships with a Rogerian approach, utilizing talk therapy to help clients feel safe to discuss their thoughts and feelings in a nurturing and non-judgmental space. She then integrates psychodynamic therapy to explore how childhood experiences and trauma impact current behaviors. As clients start to heal and see improvement in their behaviors and relationships, Dr. Garrick emphasizes choice theory to help clients become empowered to make healthy decisions, reach their full potential, and achieve self-actualization.
