Dr. Zeynep Altun is board-certified in Psychiatry and holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience. Dr. Altun graduated cum laude from Istanbul University, Istanbul Medical School. She completed her residency training in Neurology and is Turkish board-certified in clinical Neurology. Subsequently, she moved to the U.S. and finished her Ph.D. in cellular Neuroscience at Cornell University Graduate School of Medical Sciences. Dr. Altun completed her psychiatry residency training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and after, her clinical fellowship in Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program at Columbia University Medical College, New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Altun has practiced in various settings including Bellevue Hospital, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia Doctors Faculty Practice Office, Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Morningside Hospitals. Dr. Altun has held various academic appointments at New York University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry; New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University Medical College Department of Psychiatry; New York State Psychiatric Institute and Mount Sinai School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry. She spent most of her professional career supervising and teaching medical students, psychiatry residents and nurse practitioners. As an adult psychiatrist, Dr. Altun has extensive theoretical knowledge of the nervous system and its disorders and more than 10 years of experience in treating various mental illnesses including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, autism-spectrum and neuropsychiatric disorders, psychiatric emergencies and crisis management as well as cognitive behavioral and supportive psychotherapy. In Columbia Doctors, she collaborated closely with the Lieber Recovery Clinic, treating young adults with various mental illnesses. The philosophy of her practice is to collaborate with patients and work together with them so that they can lead symptom-free, productive, and stable lives.

Dr. Taj Deen earned their medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, and completed psychiatry residency training at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. They have over 20 years of experience at Jacobi Medical Center’s acute inpatient psychiatric unit, led an acute psychiatric unit for 10 years at Montrose VA Hospital in New York, and served for 25 years in the psychiatric emergency room at Westchester Medical Center.

Dr. Deen prioritizes building a genuine therapeutic alliance with all patients, fostering open communication and collaboration. They work closely with patients to set clear treatment goals and objectives while creating a warm, supportive environment in which patients feel heard, respected, and empowered.

Dr. Deen begins with a comprehensive interview to understand each patient’s history, concerns, and goals. From there, they develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the patient’s objectives, combining compassionate guidance with evidence-based psychiatric care to support meaningful progress.

Dr. Columban Heo is a board-certified psychiatrist. He earned his medical  degree from Touro University Nevada and completed his residency at Unity  Health White County Medical Center. Dr. Heo further specialized by completing  a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at the Cleveland Clinic,  where he gained extensive experience working within multidisciplinary  healthcare teams, particularly focused on psychiatric care for patients with  complex medical conditions.

She has extensive experience working with a wide range of diagnoses and patient populations, with particular interest in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD. She also has additional training in college mental health. Dr. Asquith believes in the importance of getting to know each of her patients and the unique issues that bring them into treatment. Her approach involves collaborating with patients to create personalized treatment plans and considering both medication and non-medication methods.

Dr. Asquith is from California and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis. She obtained her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine and then trained at Stanford University's Adult Psychiatry Residency Program. She subsequently completed a fellowship in student mental health at Stanford University. Most recently, Dr. Asquith worked as an outpatient psychiatrist at The Permanente Medical Group. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, trying new foods, and spending time with friends and family.

Donna is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner dedicated to breaking down mental health stigma and expanding access to compassionate, quality care. With over 20 years of nurse practitioner experience, she has supported patients and families through life’s emotional and physical challenges across outpatient, inpatient, and telepsychiatry settings. Donna is passionate about creating a safe, empowering space where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued on their mental health journey.

Daniel Ebert, MD, earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital. He has served on the faculty at Harvard Medical School and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine for over 15 years. Board certified in psychiatry by the American College of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Ebert has extensive experience treating mood, anxiety, psychotic, and substance use disorders across inpatient and outpatient settings, including student mental health, community psychiatry, and academic outpatient practices.

Dr. Ebert strives to create a respectful environment where patients feel heard as they build a strong therapeutic alliance. He values long-term collaboration to achieve meaningful treatment goals and improve quality of life. With clinical experience guiding his approach, he offers reasonable therapeutic optimism while addressing challenging symptoms and issues.
