Dr. Mohammed Ansari is an adult psychiatrist, board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He has extensive experience in various practice settings and specializes in treating Adjustment disorder, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, insomnia and working through psychosocial stressors that his patients are experiencing.
Dr. Ansari focuses on medication management while also examining underlying causes contributing to mental illness including diet, exercise, and psychosocial stressors. He emphasizes taking a multifactorial approach to every case to ensure that he and his patients can identify the goals of treatment and underlying biopsychosocial presentation. It’s important to consider treatments that emphasize mindfulness, self-care, goal setting and process-oriented thinking to help achieve patient's maximum functioning and achieve benefit from mental health treatment.
Dr. Ansari enjoys working with his patients on setting tangible and realistic goals and working towards those goals with a mix of medications and therapy. He believes in a team-based approach to providing psychiatric care and working with his patients on choosing the treatment that they feel confident about.
Dr. Ansari completed his undergraduate degree with a focus on cultural anthropology while completing all prerequisites for attending medical school. Following that, he completed 4 years of medical school education at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine and then completed 4 years of Psychiatry residency training in South Florida at Woodmont Hospital. He received the honor of being named chief resident for his final year of psychiatry residency training.
