Prit Patel, MD

Dr. Williams-Jules is an adult psychiatrist who focuses primarily on medication management in conjunction with supportive therapy. She completed her undergraduate training at Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, followed by her master's in public health degree at New York Medical College. She has completed medical school at American University of Antigua and finished her residency in psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern. Dr. Williams-Jules has a passion for treating adults with mental health disorders, especially within the perinatal population. She has a genuine interest in management of trauma, while also treating a vast array of disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and posttraumatic stress disorder. She has worked with clients of varying cultures and demographics, and has experience with treating patients with medical comorbidities. Dr. Williams-Jules takes a delicate approach to diagnosis and management and believes in holistic care, which incorporates mindfulness and deep breathing techniques to address the mind and body connection. She tailors individualized treatment to address the specific needs of patients. Dr. Williams-Jules is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Dallas County Medical Society. She has presented her research at the Annual APA conference and is co-author of many published psychiatric papers.

Dr. Mitchell Laski earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2011 and completed his medical degree at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in 2017. He completed his residency in psychiatry at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia, in 2021, where he was selected as Chief Resident. Dr. Laski has extensive experience in both outpatient and deployed settings, having completed two operational tours with the U.S. Navy. During these tours, he served in Embedded Mental Health Clinics and aboard deployed ships, working directly with Sailors.

Dr. Laski brings empathy, attentiveness, and a non-judgmental approach to every patient interaction. He is deeply committed to ensuring patients feel heard, respected, and understood. Patients can expect him to be thorough and dedicated, consistently advocating for their overall wellness throughout the course of treatment.

Understanding that beginning mental health care can be difficult, Dr. Laski starts with friendly, casual questions to build rapport—asking about patients’ background, interests, and current life situation. He then reviews their medical and psychiatric history before exploring current symptoms and stressors. Together, he and the patient collaborate to create a personalized treatment plan.

Maria-Anne Duncan, LCSW-R holds the position of psychotherapist at Talkiatry. She has over twenty years of experience working with individuals, families, and groups addressing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma. Before joining Talkiarty, Ms. Duncan worked as a Director of Clinical Services for a not-for-profit in the Hudson Valley Region of New York State. Prior to that, Ms. Duncan worked for a local hospital in the psychiatric department providing treatment to the Inpatient and Outpatient units. She has held several positions as a clinician and program director. Additionally, Ms. Duncan has taught parenting classes, Mental Health First Aid and provides training on Trauma-Informed Care. Ms. Duncan started her career as a clinician in a Crime Victims' Assistance Program funded by New York State. Through this experience she began to explore the effects of trauma on individuals, their families, and the community. Ms. Duncan has been trained in both EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and SE (Somatic Experiencing). She utilizes these body-focused therapies to help her clients be released from years of painful energies locked in their systems. Ms. Duncan received her Bachelor's Degree from Marist College and her Master's from Fordham University. She has been trained to supervise Social Work Students in their field placements. Ms. Duncan appeared in the Vassar College student-developed training video, "He said, She said" which is used to train peer sexual assault counselors. In April of 2022, she became a trainer for LivingWorks "SafeTALK" program. Additionally, Ms. Duncan has a trained therapy dog, Monkey, who goes with her to local hospitals and nursing homes to provide comfort and affection.

Dr. Pressley Warrick is a double board-certified psychiatrist specializing in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Warrick currently practices full-time, offering comprehensive psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults. She previously established and led a Behavioral Health Clinic integrated within a Family Medicine Practice. Prior to this role, Dr. Warrick provided dedicated psychiatric care at a private psychiatry practice for over a decade.

Dr. Warrick earned her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, completed residency training at Baylor College of Medicine's Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and pursued additional specialization through a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Palmetto Health/USC School of Medicine.

Known for a collaborative and holistic treatment approach, Dr. Warrick emphasizes individualized care and evidence-based practices to support patients’ mental wellness. Her professional excellence has earned recognition as Sumter’s Best Psychiatrist for consecutive years.

Dr. Warrick’s preferred treatment modalities include medication management, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and supportive psychotherapy. She specializes in treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, OCD, bipolar disorder, and PTSD. Her typical approach for new patients involves taking a detailed patient history, establishing rapport, and setting clear treatment goals in partnership with her patients.

Dr. Shafi completed his undergraduate studies in biology at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He then earned his medical degree from Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine. He went on to complete his psychiatry residency at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, where he was awarded “Master of the PRITE” for achieving the highest score on the Psychiatry Resident In-Training Examination.

Dr. Shafi specializes in the treatment of various psychiatric conditions including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and PTSD. He has practiced in multiple settings including inpatient psychiatric facilities, outpatient mental health clinics, and the VA system.  

Dr. Shafi primarily focuses on medication management in conjunction with supportive psychotherapy. Using a collaborative and patient-centered approach, he provides personalized care by tailoring treatment to his patients’ unique needs. Dr. Shafi’s curiosity and compassionate nature allow him to connect with patients from all walks of life. Dr. Juliet Nichols has been a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 2002 and has been practicing psychiatry for over 25 years. While an expert in psychopharmacology, Dr. Nichols has an integrative approach to treatment and she often incorporates psychotherapeutic techniques when appropriate, tailoring every treatment to each patient's individual needs. She completed her Psychiatry residency at Stony Brook-SUNY and Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine. Over the last two decades, Dr. Nichols served as an attending psychiatrist at JT Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson, NY, where she became proficient in delivering stellar psychiatric care in a variety of settings. She specializes in treating adult and geriatric mental illnesses, including: Depression, Anxiety Disorders (eg, OCD, Panic Disorder, GAD, PTSD), ADHD, and Cognitive Disorders in the elderly. Dr. Nichols strives to help her patients gain insights into their inner conflicts, unveil their strengths, accept their limitations, and build their coping skills. Her approach is dynamic, straightforward, and empathic so patients always feel safe, understood, and at ease. She engages the patient to be an active participant in treatment decision-making, creating a strong therapeutic alliance.‍
