Staci Newsom is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who has worked in a variety of levels of care throughout her counseling career. Staci attended undergraduate school in a suburb outside of Philadelphia and attended graduate school partially in Shelby, North Carolina and finished in Virginia. Staci has worked at a domestic violence center, community mental health, intensive in-home, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, free clinics, and with the military.
Staci’s counseling focus is around working with children and adolescents individually, in groups, and with their families. Staci is trained in EMDR and CPT therapies for trauma and enjoys using art, music, and creativity in session as much as possible. Staci has experience working with depression, anxiety, attachments, adoptees, military families, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality.
Staci uses Solution-Focused and DBT therapies to work with clients through their healing journey. Staci also uses a multicultural focus to create a more inclusive and personalized treatment experience.
