In addition to comprehensive and holistic diagnostic assessments with medication support as appropriate, I have a background in multiple evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), exposure and response prevention therapy (ERP), and family and couples therapy. Dorielayn Arocho, MD, earned a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez (RUM) and a medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) School of Medicine in Mexico. Dr. Arocho completed psychiatry residency training at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in El Paso (TTUHSC-EP), where she served as Chief Resident during her final year.

When I recommend a medication, I explain why I am recommending it, what I hope it will help with, and what side effects or tradeoffs are worth considering.
