Here’s what you’ll need to join our team.
Psychiatrists
- Eligibility for full and unrestricted medical licensure
- Completion of, or current enrollment in, an accredited psychiatry residency program
Psychiatric nurse practitioners
- Active PMHNP Board Certification
- Valid nurse practitioner license in your practicing state
- A minimum of 4 years practicing as a BC PMHNP
Therapists
- Active, independent license (LCSWs, LMFTs, LMHCs, LPCs, LCPCs, LPCCs) in your practicing state
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field

Is Talkiatry a W-2 employer or do clinicians work as independent 1099 contractors? 
Is there a cost to my health system?
We employ clinicians as W-2 employees. This model provides stability and benefits that many 1099 contractor roles don’t, including:

Clinicians receive a base salary plus monthly productivity incentives. This structure provides stable income with the ability to increase earnings based on caseload and scheduling preferences. For early-career psychiatrists, it offers a predictable start; for experienced clinicians, it provides scalability with transparency around expectations.
Can I work anywhere?

Yes. Our roles are fully remote within the United States. We also provide multi-state licensure support, so you can expand your reach without added administrative burden.
Do you offer full-time and part-time roles?

Yes, both part-time and full-time scheduling options are available. Clinicians set their own schedules, whether building a panel early in their career, balancing professional and family commitments, or transitioning into retirement.
