We are seeking a high energy, detail-oriented and hands-on individual to join the accounting team as a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in driving the integrity and accuracy of our financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting strategic decision-making. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.

You will:

  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including the preparation and posting of journal entries and accruals and supporting reconciliations.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Own various accounting processes including cash, prepaids, fixed assets, and accruals
  • Assist with ERP system maintenance and AP tech stack improvements to become an expert in accounting systems, as well as training others.
  • Have opportunities to learn technical accounting, including stock-based compensation and internally developed software capitalization.
  • Support the audit process, working closely with external auditors.
  • Assist in the implementation of effective accounting controls and business processes. Including research and implementation of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounting function. Implement best practices to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and improve efficiency.
  • Author key accounting policies and procedures.
  • Mentor, teach and review the work of other supporting members of the accounting team
  • Other responsibilities include but are not limited to participate in special projects, system enhancements or ad hoc analyses as assigned.

You have:

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the ability to interpret and apply them in financial reporting.
  • Experience with leading accounting software platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics). Ability to optimize and troubleshoot accounting systems to ensure smooth operations.
  • Strong knowledge of designing and implementing internal controls related to financial processes, including segregation of duties, audit trails, and controls around financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred.
  • 3+ years accounting/finance month end close or general ledger experience
  • Prior Audit Experience. Big 4 a plus, but not necessary
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP/Netsuite) experience preferred
  • Experience with bill.com or similar billing/invoicing software
  • Strong excel and/or google sheets skills, be comfortable with extremely large volumes of data
  • Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and constantly changing environment a plus

Compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 base, depending on experience; actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, location, as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills and certifications.
