Biography
I strive to create an open, supportive, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where patients feel empowered to explore challenges from both the past and present. I believe in balancing compassion with appropriate challenge to support meaningful growth. My clinical philosophy centers on the belief that while past experiences cannot be changed, individuals can change how they understand and respond to them. I begin therapy by gaining a thorough understanding of each patient's history, concerns, and goals for treatment. I view therapy as a collaborative process and work with clients to develop treatment plans and goals that reflect their values and needs. These goals guide the therapeutic work and are revisited through reflection to highlight progress and growth over time.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Brooklyn College. I have worked across a wide range of settings, including schools, college counseling centers, non-profit community organizations, and private practice. Through these experiences, I have worked with diverse populations and identities and have received formal training in DBT, CBT, REBT, Sex Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.
