Biography
I'm a therapist who has spent more than a decade working with adolescents and adults, in residential programs, in community settings, and now here. Much of what people bring me is anxiety, depression, grief, or a life transition that has knocked them off balance for a while. I see teenagers, adults, and older adults, and I work in both English and Spanish.
I grew up in New York City, and I think that shows in how I work: warm, down-to-earth, and honest without a lot of clinical distance. Culturally sensitive care matters to me because people arrive with histories and contexts that deserve to be taken seriously, not treated as background noise. Early on, we'll spend real time understanding what's actually going on, where you come from, and what you want to move toward, then set goals that are yours rather than mine. I draw on approaches like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness, but I keep your story at the center rather than fitting you into a method. A session with me tends to feel like being genuinely heard first, then working out what's next together.
I think thriving starts with feeling understood, and I take that seriously as the foundation for everything else, including insight and self-compassion. We can track what changes over time and adjust as we go. The first step is just a conversation, and from there we'll figure out what growth looks like for you.
