Biography
I am passionate about promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma. I create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. I value open communication and collaboration, believe deeply in each person's resilience, and use a strengths-based, solution-focused, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed approach to help clients build confidence, insight, and effective coping skills. I begin with a comprehensive intake to understand each client's background, concerns, strengths, and goals, then work collaboratively to develop personalized, goal-oriented treatment plans using tailored, strengths-based interventions. I support concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship challenges, stress, and life transitions, regularly reviewing progress and adjusting treatment to support continued growth.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Diagnostic Privilege (LMHC-D) in New York State. I earned a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mercy College. I am a bilingual clinician fluent in English and Spanish and currently serve as a Bilingual Clinical Program Coordinator, providing clinical supervision, consultation, and direct care. I have extensive experience delivering individual, group, and family therapy in school-based, community, and outpatient settings, with a background in crisis intervention, assessment, treatment planning, solution-focused counseling, trauma-informed care, and telehealth services.
