Biography
As a therapist, I work mostly with adults and older adults navigating depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, and the strain that shows up in close relationships. Over more than eight years, I've practiced in just about every setting therapy happens: inpatient psychiatric units, partial and intensive outpatient programs, a family practice office alongside physicians, and private practice. That range taught me that no two people arrive for the same reason, so no two treatment plans should look the same.
I lean on Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused Therapy, but I'll borrow from person-centered work and other approaches depending on what actually fits the person sitting across from me. My style is client-centered and strengths-based; I'm more interested in what's already working in your life than in cataloging everything that isn't. In a first session, expect me to ask about your goals in your own words, because I want the plan we build to belong to you, not to a manual.
Much of what I do is help people rediscover hope, build resilience, and grow their own self-awareness, since that awareness tends to be where real change starts. I set a pace that feels manageable and I'm honest about what I see, gently and without judgment.
If you're ready to work toward a little more balance and a steadier footing, I'd be glad to start that with you.
