Background and credentials    

Dr. Catherine Cashman is triple board-certified by the American Board of  Psychiatry and Neurology in Adult Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent  Psychiatry, and Forensic Psychiatry. She holds two Bachelor’s degrees: one in  Finance from New York University, and another in Biology from the University  of New Orleans. She earned her medical degree from Nova Southeastern  University and completed an Adult Psychiatry residency at LSU Health Sciences  Center in New Orleans. Dr. Cashman subsequently completed two fellowships:  the first in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at LSU New Orleans, along with  a certification in Infant Mental Health (working with children ages 0–6 years  and their caregivers); the second fellowship was in Forensic Psychiatry at  the University of Rochester and the Rochester Regional Forensic Unit.

He completed his psychiatric residency at Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center in Camden, NJ, where he served as Chief Resident his senior year. Dr. Ellis has served as Assistant Medical Director of the community mental health center of Gloucester County for 28 years, providing care to a diverse population. Additionally, Dr. Ellis maintained a private practice for 15 years, treating individuals and their families with ongoing collaboration with therapists and other health care providers

Sebrina Cotton is a passionate advocate for mental health and holistic well-being. With over 7 years of experience in the mental health field, she has worked with diverse populations seeking support in managing various challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship/marital issues, grief/loss, and life transitions. Sebrina's approach is person-centered and collaborative. Ashley Harmon, MD

Dr. Ashley Harmon is board certified psychiatrist with specialization in geriatric psychiatry and has been in practice over 12 years. She completed her undergraduate training at Xavier University of Louisiana and residency at University of Cincinnati where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. She then went to University of Rochester where she completed her fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry. Dr. Harmon has worked in a variety of settings including acute care, long term care facilities, and residential treatment. She spent the largest part of her career in the VA Healthcare System. She served in various roles which included staff psychiatrist, Associate Program Director of Psychiatry and Inpatient Psychiatry Medical Director. She has held previous faculty appointments at the University of Rochester, Carle Psychiatry Residency Program in association with University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and UT Southwestern. She also received the VAIHCS ICARE Bravo Award for reducing antipsychotic use in long-term care residents at VA Illiana.

When working with Dr. Harmon, patients can expect a unique treatment plan tailored to their individual needs. Dr. Harmon has an interest in integrative psychiatry and believes that improving mental health takes a comprehensive approach. This will include a thorough history, medication management, therapeutic interventions and referrals as appropriate.

Karina Eugenio Vargas, LMHC, LPC received a Master of Science in Education and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. John's University of New York. She has completed training at Yale's Child Study Center specializing in Child and Adult abuse and has worked in community mental health and outpatient based settings. For the past 5 years, Karina has dedicated her career to trauma-informed care, specifically using CBT. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults treating anxiety, depression, family and relationship issues, and other mental health issues. Karina practices from a Psychodynamic framework and integrates other modalities depending on the needs of each client.

Tobias Murphy, MD

Dr. Tobias Murphy is a psychiatrist with Talkiatry who is licensed to provide care in the states of Ohio, West Virginia, and New York. He completed medical school and psychiatry residency at Marshall University's School of Medicine. He has additional training in neuropsychiatry and geriatric psychiatry. During his training, Dr. Murphy was actively involved in teaching medical students and residents. His most frequent lectures included LGBT and transgender mental health. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Association of Gay and Lesbian Psychiatrists, the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association, the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. He was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and given awards for Inclusion and Advocacy as well as Honors in Community Service during training. He has published papers, presented at conferences, and served as an ad-hoc reviewer for medical journals. Dr. Murphy approaches medication management through the lens of compassionate listening and psychotherapy, seeking to reduce the stigma of mental illness and put patients at ease during their visits. He has experience treating a variety of conditions, including bipolar disorder, depression, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, and anxiety. He enjoys working with a diverse population of patients providing culturally informed care. Follow-up patient visits will include both supportive therapy and medication management during 30-minute encounters.
