As a therapist, Dr. Louis’ work has given her in-depth insight into how multiple systems and important relationships can influence the course of a person’s life.

As a queer woman of Haitian descent, Dr. Louis explores different ways the intersectionality of culture, family, identity, and sexuality can impact our lives. She is fascinated by stories of vulnerability, always looking for strengths and solutions. She helps people feel safe to be themselves and go from where they are to where they can be.

Dr. Louis provides individual, couples, and family therapy, integrating Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Solution-Focused Therapy, collaborative conversations, and systemic approaches to address LGBTQ+ issues, racial trauma, cultural identity exploration, and relational wounds. Dr. Louis will meet you where you are and help you grow into the most authentic version of yourself.

Akili Carter, LMHC

Akili’s approach is centered around the individual. His goal is to help people embrace their authentic self. He believes that counseling and the therapeutic process is experiential. He has been through most of the life struggles we all have been through. Akili has also written several books - the latest of which, “Be an Anomaly”, is about the autism spectrum. Beyond his passion for helping others, Akili is passionate about his family, drawing, music, and basketball.

Akili utilizes multimedia resources, oftentimes with an emphasis on writing and creativity. He works to create a warm atmosphere of welcoming energy and connection. Therapeutic modalities used include REBT, CBT, Positive Psychology, ACT, and Gottman Method.

Jessica Gordon, LCSW

Jessie Gordon, LCSW, earned her Master of Social Work from the NYU Silver School of Social Work in 2020. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience practicing in private practice and community mental health settings. Jessie brings a broad understanding of therapeutic needs and is committed to helping clients navigate a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.

Quentina Farrell, LCSW

She earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Augusta University and her Master’s in Social Work from Barry University.

She received her Master of Mental Health Counseling from Alliance Graduate School of Counseling (now Alliance University).
