Albert Luong, MD

Dr. Albert Luong is a Board Certified adult psychiatrist who integrates a friendly and collaborative approach to treating psychiatric conditions. For him, building strong therapeutic relationships is key to helping patients achieve their goals. In line with holistic treatment, Dr. Luong utilizes psychotherapy and medication management to implement a safe, empathic, and individualistic framework that allows for healing and wellness. Dr. Luong works primarily with patients dealing with depression, anxiety, stress management, and lack of fulfillment, among other life challenges. Dr. Luong completed undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, majoring in biological sciences and graduating with the highest distinction. He received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed an adult psychiatry residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. As part of his training, he was the Chief Resident of the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Department, supervising trainees and treating patients with various psychiatric illnesses.

Devon Beal, PMHNP received her master's in nursing degree from Yale School of Nursing with a concentration in Adult Psychiatry.  She is board certified by ANCC as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist and an Adult Nurse Practitioner.  She has worked in Psychiatric Urgent Care in San Francisco, Inpatient Psychiatry at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Outpatient and detox care in Fall River, MA, Boston VA Methadone Clinic, Geriatric Psychiatry Inpatient Service and most recently at Day Treatment programming in Central MA.  This breadth of experience across the psychiatric - addiction continuum of care helps to assess accurate symptom acuteness and provide effective medication strategies.  She has experience with Depression, Anxiety disorders, Bipolar Disorders, PTSD, Psychotic disorders and Personality Disorders.

A new client interview will consist of a 45-55 minute interview where the reason for entering treatment, current symptoms, psychiatric history, medication history, and a social history will be assessed. Provisional diagnoses or existing diagnoses will be discussed, along with client goals for treatment. There will be an opportunity for medication initiation or changes if mutually agreed upon.  Devon's goals in providing care is to make the client comfortable, to offer accurate symptom assessment and diagnostic clarity, and to provide medication management strategies for symptom and functional improvement.  Follow-up appointments will typically be 30 minutes with a portion dedicated to medication management and a portion to supportive psychotherapy.

Candace L. Gillespie is a therapist at Talkiatry. She has worked with clients in many settings including as a school counselor, a private practice therapist, and for major virtual therapy platforms as well. Candace received her Master's of Education degree in School Counseling with Community Counseling hours from Delta State University. She has an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership, an Educational Doctoral Degree in Organizational Leadership, and a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management. She is multi-state licensed in Mississippi, Tennessee, & and Georgia as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is licensed in Idaho as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Candace is also a National Certified Counselor and National Certified School Counselor by the National Board for Certified Counselors. Treatment modalities include Client Centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Motivational interviewing, & and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Elizabeth Faust, MD

Dr. Elizabeth Faust is board-certified in Psychiatry with a fellowship in Integrative Psychiatry. She started in Family Medicine while in the Navy, where she also was a Flight Surgeon. She has practiced medicine since 1999, focusing on Psychiatry since 2007. Dr. Faust practices with an integrative approach to see what medical factors contribute to symptoms, unhealthy thought or relationship patterns, and lifestyle factors that maintain dysfunction. Unexamined, medications will only work briefly. While medications are part of treatment to acutely improve symptoms, she also brings in lifestyle changes, nutrition, spirituality, and social connection as resources to recover function and maintain wellness. 1995-1999 MD from Texas A&M University, US Navy 1999-2004; Family Medicine Internship, Aerospace Medicine training/Flight Surgeon; 2004-2007 the Psychiatry Residency University of Wisconsin. Dr. Faust worked at Iowa City VA, out of residency, treating fellow veterans and training residents at the University of Iowa. She then worked for Group Health in Washington, followed by independent work in telepsychiatry long before the pandemic. Most recently, she worked for Virginia Mason Franciscan to establish a Collaborative Care model of practice to provide expert consultation and support for primary care physicians to continue to care for their patients' mental health within the primary care setting. She enjoys working with patients who are ready to make a change that leads them to their better selves.

Daniel Weiss, MD

Chief Psychiatrist

Dr. Daniel Weiss is a double board-certified psychiatrist in adult and forensic psychiatry. His expertise is in diagnosing and treating psychiatric conditions, including depression and bipolar spectrum disorders, anxiety, stress and adjustment problems, maternal mental health, OCD, and other disorders. In addition, he has extensive experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, college and graduate students, creative professionals, and a range of working adults. Through a supportive psychopharmacologic approach, Dr. Weiss strives to provide a comfortable experience in which doctor and patient work to understand the presenting problems, reduce symptoms, and optimize functioning. In addition, Dr. Weiss encourages concurrent therapy and will communicate with that provider in a collaborative care arrangement. Dr. Weiss previously served as an attending psychiatrist on the staff of Montefiore Medical Center and was formerly a faculty member at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Before joining Talkiatry, Dr. Weiss spent a decade working at The New School as the university's staff psychiatrist.

Sujith Maracheril, MD

Dr. Sujith Maracheril is a board-eligible psychiatrist who provides comprehensive patient care while building a physician-patient relationship centered on communication, empathy, and respect. His primary focus is medication management, and he also provides supportive psychotherapy to help patients work toward long-term improvements. While aligning treatment toward patient goals, he takes a practical approach to changes that can be made to empower patients in their lives. Dr. Maracheril is a graduate of the Sophie Davis Biomedical Education Program at the CUNY School of Medicine, a 7-year BS/MD program. He completed his residency training in psychiatry at the Zucker School of Medicine/Northwell Health at Mather Hospital. He has trained in many settings including inpatient psychiatric units, general and specialized outpatient clinics, and at a partial hospitalization program. Dr. Maracheril has experience treating a broad range of mental health conditions including depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, ADHD, and OCD. He understands that people may experience these conditions in different ways, and he aims to treat each patient in an individualized and holistic way.
