Richard "Rick" States is a Licensed Professional Counselor, with broad and varied professional work experience in behavioral health (inpatient and outpatient, individuals and families, children and adults, direct service and program administration). Rick earned his B.A. in Psychology at Gannon University and his M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.

He's earned a Post-Master's Certificate in General Psychology from Northcentral University and has completed many doctorate credits in Psychology. Since 1999, Rick has taught university courses in Psychology, Sociology, and Human Services, most recently at Gannon University and Penn State University.

Rick's greatest area of clinical interest and skill centers around self-regulation or "how we manage" our thoughts, feelings, emotions, behaviors, etc. Rick appreciates the challenges related to anxiety, stress, depression, substance use, and trauma, and he employs various tools to help folks manage (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, humanism, mindfulness/somatic psychology, etc.).

Mariah Ide is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who has a passion for helping people see their true potential. Mariah earned her master's degree in mental health counseling from Stetson University in Deland, Florida, and also graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology and criminology from the University of Florida located in Gainesville, Florida. Mariah has experience with children, adolescents, and adults. Mariah has worked in school, hospital, and outpatient based settings. She has clinical practice experience with mood disorders, self esteem issues, gender identity, crisis intervention, family issues and trauma, with a certification in complex trauma. In addition to counseling, Mariah has also worked in case management and has a unique perspective behind resource utilization. She has worked on countless projects in the community to promote mental health awareness. Mariah believes in advocacy for her clients as well as the mental health field, and hopes to promote acceptance and decrease stigma related to mental health and mental health treatment. Mariah takes a person-centered approach with her clients and believes in meeting the clients where they are. Mariah hopes to empower her clients by giving them a safe environment to explore and learn more about themselves without judgment. She sees the importance in looking at the whole picture when working with a client. Mariah hopes to create rounded goals to promote long term success, and help the client feel more balanced overall. She uses solution focused and cognitive behavioral interventions to help clients build a tool box of skills that can help them cope with daily life. Melissa Medina, LCSW

Melissa Medina, LCSW, began her journey in mental healthcare with a Bachelor’s in Psychology followed by a Master of Social Work degree. From 2015 to 2018, she completed her clinical hours at a community mental health agency in Los Angeles, where she gained experience working with diverse populations facing complex challenges. Melissa’s therapeutic approach integrates psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, strengths-based, dialectical behavioral, and EMDR modalities. Zoe Prowell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in mental health and addiction. She earned her MSW from the University of Louisville and has 9 years of experience providing individual, family, group, and couples’ therapy. Zoe has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings and with diverse populations, including veterans, survivors of trauma, refugees, and clients with criminal histories. Her specialties include depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, substance use, grief, anger, self-harm, and suicidal ideation.

Zoe creates a warm, supportive environment where patients feel heard, understood, and valued. She believes everyone deserves a fulfilling life and uses tailored interventions, including CBT, DBT, ACT, cognitive processing, family systems, strengths-based, person-centered, culturally sensitive, and trauma-focused approaches. Courtney Flynn, LCSW

Courtney Flynn, LCSW, earned her Bachelor of Social Work in 2015 and Master of Social Work in 2017 from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. She has over a decade of experience practicing psychotherapy in the Northern Colorado region.

Courtney began her career in 2014, working with high-risk youth on parole in a residential treatment setting. In this role, she provided crisis intervention and therapeutic support to adolescents with complex trauma. In 2015, she served as a facilitator at a high school Wellness Center, supporting teens struggling with substance use, trauma, and mental health challenges by connecting them with individualized resources.

From 2017 to 2022, Courtney worked at Mountain Crest Behavioral Health Center in Fort Collins as a care coordinator and behavioral health therapist. There, she provided a wide range of services, including crisis intervention, individual therapy, family and couples counseling, group therapy, trauma-focused care, and discharge planning for adolescents and adults in an inpatient psychiatric setting.

In 2022, Courtney shifted her focus to clients with substance use disorders. She joined Northpoint Recovery in Loveland, Colorado, where she served as a primary therapist for both adolescents and adults in intensive outpatient and inpatient programs, offering individual and group therapy.

In 2023, Courtney began working at The Redpoint Center in Fort Collins, an intensive outpatient program specializing in mental health and substance use treatment. There, she facilitated individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients explore and address the underlying causes of their behaviors in a safe, supportive, and authentic therapeutic environment.

Courtney's passion for this work is driven by a deep commitment to supporting her community and a genuine sense of empathy and compassion for others. Outside of her clinical work, she has been a professional dancer for over 15 years and has taught dance in her community for the past 12. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, listening to music, seeking new adventures, and being with her friends, family, and loved ones. Traveling is also one of her greatest joys when she's not working or dancing.

Courtney's approach to working with clients is rooted in meeting them where they are, respecting their autonomy, and empowering them to connect with both their past and present selves. She prioritizes building rapport and trust from the very first session, ensuring clear goals and objectives are established early on.
