With over two decades in the counseling field, Greta Hicks-Brooks, LPC, is a seasoned and devoted professional at Talkiatry. Earned her most recent licensure credential, and the one recognized in California is Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). She has served in inpatient, outpatient, emergency, hospital, and community mental health settings, as well as leadership roles such as managing the social services department at a crisis stabilization facility. Rhea earned her MS in Clinical/Counseling Psychology and Ed.S. in School Psychology from Valdosta State University, and a BA in Psychology and Sociology from Loyola University in New Orleans. Licensed in Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, and South Carolina, she is also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Rhea understands that beginning counseling can feel intimidating and strives to create a safe, welcoming environment where therapy moves at the patient’s pace. She primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while incorporating elements of Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused approaches, Strength-Based methods, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Adam Hallers is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Brooklyn College. He has worked across a wide range of settings, including schools, college counseling centers, non-profit community organizations, and private practice. Through these experiences, Adam has worked with diverse populations and identities and has received formal training in DBT, CBT, REBT, Sex Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.

With over nine years as a School Mental Health Counselor at Edgewood ISD, Ronda developed and implemented individual and group counseling programs for PK–12 students.
