Jacqueline Hong, MD

Dr. Jacqueline Hong is a board-certified adult psychiatrist who takes a genuine interest in her patients and values collaborative decision-making. Over the past 4 years of practicing, she has followed a holistic model of care that accounts for the physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs of the individual. She has a down-to-earth, patient, and warm personality, and prides herself on timeliness and professionalism. Though Dr. Hong focuses on medication management, she has a passion for supportive therapy with elements of CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness. She may also recommend that a therapist be included in your care team if more specialized therapy is required. Dr. Hong graduated summa cum laude from Grove City College, and completed medical school at UTMB at Galveston. She finished her residency at Memorial Healthcare System in FL, where she held a leadership position in Graduate Medical Education. Dr. Hong has experience in treating a wide range of disorders, including depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and addiction. She has worked with adolescent, geriatric, pregnant, and medically complex patients. Growing up in a Korean immigrant household and training in the ethnically diverse South Florida region has informed her of the unique struggles that immigrant populations face. Dr. Hong has a special interest in treating mood and anxiety disorders. Outside of the office, Dr. Hong enjoys art, cinema, and powerlifting.

Laura Obler, MD

Staff Psychiatrist

Dr. Laura Obler is board-certified in adult psychiatry. She received her medical degree from David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in Los Angeles, California, where she stayed to complete her psychiatry residency at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience. During residency she received specialized training in reproductive psychiatry (the treatment of women who are considering pregnancy or are pregnant or postpartum) and acted as Chief Resident of the Women's Life Center at UCLA. Dr. Obler has experience working with a diverse group of patients. She has previously worked in community clinics in the greater Los Angeles area and as a staff psychiatrist at UCLA. She prefers a holistic approach to psychiatric treatment and therefore uses a combination of medication management and talking therapies to treat patients. Techniques she may utilize include cognitive behavioral therapy, experiential psychodynamic therapy, mentalization based therapy, and medical hypnosis.

Amanda Kerr, DO

Dr. Amanda Kerr is a board-certified Psychiatrist. Her practice focuses on medication management, though she passionately believes in a holistic approach. She attended Boston University for her undergraduate studies and Loyola Marymount University for graduate school. She then completed her training at Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school and Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine for residency, where she was selected to serve as Chief Resident during her final year. After completion of her residency in 2016, she dedicated seven years to serving a wide range of patients in a community mental health setting, both in-person and via telepsychiatry. She also serves as a provider at an Intensive Outpatient Program. She has experience treating patients with depressive and bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and OCD. She also has extensive teaching experience in various settings. Dr. Kerr has a gentle and approachable style when providing medication management in conjunction with supportive psychotherapy, and at times Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to more fully address each individual's needs. She utilizes mindfulness approaches as well, which she finds personally meaningful in her practices of meditation and yoga. Daniel Weiss, MD

Chief Psychiatrist

Dr. Daniel Weiss is a double board-certified psychiatrist in adult and forensic psychiatry. His expertise is in diagnosing and treating psychiatric conditions, including depression and bipolar spectrum disorders, anxiety, stress and adjustment problems, maternal mental health, OCD, and other disorders. In addition, he has extensive experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, college and graduate students, creative professionals, and a range of working adults. Through a supportive psychopharmacologic approach, Dr. Weiss strives to provide a comfortable experience in which doctor and patient work to understand the presenting problems, reduce symptoms, and optimize functioning. In addition, Dr. Weiss encourages concurrent therapy and will communicate with that provider in a collaborative care arrangement. Dr. Weiss previously served as an attending psychiatrist on the staff of Montefiore Medical Center and was formerly a faculty member at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Before joining Talkiatry, Dr. Weiss spent a decade working at The New School as the university's staff psychiatrist.

Celeste Boyd, PMHNP

Ms. Celeste Boyd is a dual board certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner.  She is the CEO and Founder of Metamorphosis Psyche, a psychiatric mental health resource platform.  She has practiced in family medicine since 2011 and psychiatric mental health medicine since 2013.  She has clinical experience and expertise in substance use disorders, addiction rehabilitation, sleep medicine, general psychiatry, and serious mental illness (SMI) in both private and public sectors.  In Academia, she has extended her knowledge and experience as Adjunct Clinical Faculty at School of Nursing Graduate Programs.

Since 2017, Ms. Boyd has been practicing general psychiatry in the outpatient private sector.  Ms. Boyd provides medication management and psychotherapy for acute, chronic, and comorbid psychiatric conditions that include Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Mood Disorders, ADHD, OCD, and PTSD.  Her clinical treatment modalities include supportive therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational enhancement, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

As a clinician, she promotes mental health awareness to reduce stigmatization and empower those suffering and struggling with mental illness. Ms. Boyd clinical practices are oriented towards the Mental Health Recovery Model, which permits individuals to go through an active process of change, being in control, strengthening, and empowering themselves to improve their mental health and well-being.

Michael Fiori, MD

Staff Psychiatrist

Dr. Michael Fiori is Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. He has practiced general psychiatry for 37 years, and has also sub-specialized in Addiction Psychiatry for the past 20 years. Dr. Fiori's practice emphasizes Diagnostic Clarification, which is an ongoing process. He is highly trained and experienced in the biological and psychosocial underpinnings of psychiatric problems. He typically follows diagnostic evaluations with 30-minute follow up visits for medication adjustments and brief therapy. Dr. Fiori often enjoys collaborating with outside therapists when needed. Dr. Fiori graduated from Amherst College and received his medical degree from NY Medical College. He subsequently completed his residency in psychiatry at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC. He excelled in Academic Psychiatry as both a teacher and a mentor. His practice has always combined medications with evidence-based therapies to alleviate suffering and maximize functioning. In addition to his work as a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist, he has specialized in helping patients suffering from Substance Use Disorders. Dr. Fiori is Board Certified in Addiction Medicine, and helps patients understand the interrelationships between their Substance Use Disorders and their Psychiatric illnesses.

Jaime Sather, PMHNP

Staff Nurse Practitioner

Jaime Sather, PMHNP is a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 20 years' experience in the mental health field. Specialty areas include ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance abuse, PTSD, and women’s health. Clinical experience with inpatient, outpatient, detoxifications rehab, psychiatric emergency department, IOP, and PHP.

Comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and brief psychotherapy are provided. Besides medication management with psychotherapy, individual therapy may be recommended for the best possible patient outcome.

Patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns in a non-judgmental therapeutic environment. Education is provided about diagnosis and treatment options with the patient being empowered to be an active part of their treatment plan.
