Brenda Camacho, MD

Dr. Brenda Y. Camacho holds the position of Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry. She is board-certified in Adult Psychiatry. She has been practicing for over 25 years. While having treated a wide range of adult patients, Dr. Camacho's primary focus is treating adult outpatients with mood or psychotic disorders. Her practice focuses on medication management. Typically, she offers this in conjunction with supportive or insight-oriented therapy in 30-minute follow-up visits. On occasion, Dr. Camacho will believe additional therapy is also needed and asks that you bring a therapist into your care team to provide the best outcome. Dr. Camacho completed her undergraduate studies at Tufts University. She received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and then continued with Temple for her residency in adult psychiatry. After completing training, Dr. Camacho worked at Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ as Associate Director of Consultation/Liaison Service and Psychiatry Residency Training and Co-Director of the Neuropsychiatry Clinic. She then began working exclusively in outpatient settings, joined NewPoint Behavioral Health Care, and served as Medical Director before and after their merge with Acenda Integrated Health.

Dr. Michele Kerbow is a board certified psychiatrist with more than 20 years of clinical experience. She completed her undergraduate training at Clemson University before continuing to the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, SC. From there, she completed her General Psychiatry Internship and General Adult Psychiatry Residency through the University of Virginia in Roanoke. Though she has a wide array of experience in psychiatric care and psychological assessment, Dr. Kerbow has a particular interest in the treatment of Veterans' issues and trauma. Her most recent work saw her caring for both Veterans and Active Duty military through the Fayetteville VA Medical Center in Jacksonville, NC and the Naval Hospital Jacksonville in Florida. She believes strongly in the interconnectivity of mental and physical health, especially as it relates to trauma. Jennifer Hewitt is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She earned her master’s degree in nursing from Gonzaga University and has extensive experience in treating a wide array of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Jennifer's passion for psychiatry and her commitment to helping patients stem from her years of experience working as an emergency room nurse, as well as her background in emergency medical services (EMS). This foundation has provided her with a unique perspective on the importance of mental health in overall patient care.

Sandra Rodriguez, LMHC

Sandra is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York with extensive experience working in the mental health field. Sandra attended both undergraduate and Graduate school in Queens, New York, studying and obtaining degrees in Psychology and Mental Health Counseling. Sandra has been practicing for over a decade as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, in diverse settings ranging from community outpatient clinics to academic settings and private practices. She has worked with individuals, families, and groups, with a wide variety of situational, behavioral and emotional mental-health conditions as well as those who have experienced relational and other traumas. Sandra is trauma-trained and working with her delivers a warm and inviting atmosphere, blending different techniques with talk-based therapy to connect to the needs of each person. Sandra's work has recently focused on treatment of anxiety disorders, relationship issues and complex family dynamics, life-transitions and stress management. Sandra helps clients work on chronic maladaptive patterns that keep them feeling unwell or stuck in life situations. Eudora Jones, PMHNP

Dr. Eudora Jones is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner.  She obtained her master’s degree in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University.  She received her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Maryland.  She also completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Chatham University.  She has worked in Inpatient Psychiatry at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.  She has also worked in Inpatient and Outpatient Psychiatry at Fort Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital.  Dr. Jones has a comprehensive understanding of research, and she has worked as a biologist, nurse, and nurse practitioner at the National Institutes of Health.  

Dr. Jones utilizes a patient-centered collaborative approach with a primary focus on medication management combined with supportive therapy.  She uses evidence-based treatment strategies and emphasizes providing psychoeducation and achieving treatment goals through mutually agreed upon methods.  She specializes in treating adults who experience depression, anxiety, PTSD, and ADHD.

New patients can anticipate a comprehensive patient interview that will assess psychiatric history, current symptoms, medication history and social history.  Dr. Jones prioritizes offering personalized treatment that focuses on understanding each patient’s individual goals in a supportive environment.  Follow-up appointments last about 30 minutes, allowing time to adjust or reinforce therapeutic treatment strategies and provide supportive psychotherapy.

Irene Pastis, MD

Dr. Irene Pastis is a board-certified psychiatrist who specializes in adult psychiatry.  She completed residency training at East Carolina University in both internal medicine and psychiatry.  After residency, she pursued her passion in psychiatry and stayed on as a clinical assistant professor in the department of psychiatry at East Carolina University.  In this role she specialized in treating adults with mental illness in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.  She has spent a considerable amount of time teaching residents and medical students and has published several papers focusing on the neuroscience pathways of mental health conditions.  In her daily practice, Dr. Pastis focuses on evidence-based treatments utilizing the latest clinical guidelines and current approved treatments.  In addition to medication management, she also incorporates psychotherapy in the treatment of mental health conditions.  Dr. Pastis is passionate about taking a collaborative approach with her patients to help them reach their potential.

Millar, MA, LMFT, is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over eight years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate complex emotional challenges. She holds a Master's in Marriage & Family Therapy from NorthCentral University and has extensive training in various therapeutic modalities, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and EMDR.
