Joy James, MD

Dr. Kathryn Hu is a board-certified adult psychiatrist. She majored in biology and neuroscience at Brandeis University, attended medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and completed residency training at Stony Brook University Hospital. ‍Dr. Hu practices a patient-centered approach to mental health care. She works collaboratively on goals of treatment, with a focus on medication management while incorporating supportive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. ‍Dr. Hu treats a variety of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and ADHD.

Dr. Michele Kerbow is a board certified psychiatrist with more than 20 years of clinical experience. She completed her undergraduate training at Clemson University before continuing to the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, SC. From there, she completed her General Psychiatry Internship and General Adult Psychiatry Residency through the University of Virginia in Roanoke. Though she has a wide array of experience in psychiatric care and psychological assessment, Dr. Kerbow has a particular interest in the treatment of Veterans' issues and trauma. Her most recent work saw her caring for both Veterans and Active Duty military through the Fayetteville VA Medical Center in Jacksonville, NC and the Naval Hospital Jacksonville in Florida. She believes strongly in the interconnectivity of mental and physical health, especially as it relates to trauma. Dr. Sabrina Lefcochilos-Fogelquist earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and her medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. She completed her psychiatry residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Morningside/West in New York City. She has experience in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency psychiatry, treating a broad spectrum of mental health conditions across diverse populations.

Dr. Lefcochilos-Fogelquist values compassionate, holistic care and strives to build long-term, collaborative relationships with her patients. She is particularly drawn to the outpatient setting, where she can engage with the evolving narratives of her patients’ lives. Dr. Surya Sabhapathy, MD, MPH (they/them) is a board-certified adult psychiatrist based in Chicago, IL. They earned their medical degree and Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan before completing psychiatry residency at the University of Illinois – Chicago, where they later joined the faculty as an attending psychiatrist. At UIC, Dr. Sabhapathy directed the Gender and Sexuality Clinic, offering LGBTQ+ affirming care with a focus on supporting transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive individuals. They have experience treating PTSD, mood disorders, co-morbid medical conditions, and reproductive/perinatal mental health concerns, and have contributed to the National Curriculum on Reproductive Psychiatry.

Dr. Sabhapathy values open communication and shared decision-making, creating a space that is warm, nonjudgmental, and supportive. They encourage positive lifestyle changes and emphasize whole-person wellness, often incorporating nature, creativity, and artistic expression as part of mental health care.

Neena Tressa Mathew has built an impressive career in the medical field, with a strong focus on mental health. She is dually board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC), providing care across all age groups. Fluent in English, Hindi, and Malayalam, she is licensed to practice in Florida, New York, Texas, and Georgia. Her international experience includes roles in Canada, where she further developed her expertise in geriatric psychiatry. Neena has also worked in various practice areas, including addiction medicine, grief counseling, and primary care.

Her academic background includes a Post-Master’s Certification from Florida State University and a Master of Science from D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Delhi University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the Delhi School of Social Work. Her professional affiliations, including membership in the American Nurses Association, reflect her commitment to the field. Recognized for her academic, leadership, and research capabilities, Neena was invited to join Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) as a graduate nursing student for her excellence in scholarship and outstanding achievements in nursing.

Her approach to care is both traditional—prescribing evidence-based psychiatric medications—and holistic, incorporating natural treatments such as vitamins, supplements, lifestyle modifications, nutrition, exercise, and stress management. She believes in the mind-body-spirit connection, viewing individuals as whole beings rather than a collection of symptoms, echoing the philosophy of Hippocrates, the "Father of Medicine." Her holistic philosophy is evident in her skillful management of psychotropic medications and her integration of psychotherapy, including supportive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic therapy.

Dr. Richard McCall is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 25 years of comprehensive experience in delivering exceptional mental health services across various settings. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed his Psychiatry residency training at Duke University School of Medicine. He treats adult patients of all ages and is known for a compassionate, patient-centered approach. Dr. McColl integrates psychopharmacology with multiple psychotherapy modalities. He has specialized training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and more. He looks forward to helping patients reach their goals for mental health care while providing a compassionate and collaborative environment.
