Dr. Katherine Vital-Daley is an adult psychiatrist at Talkiatry. Tanvi Gupta, DO

Staff Psychiatrist

Dr. Tanvi Gupta, a native Marylander who recently finished her fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from the University of Maryland. She completed her residency in general psychiatry from San Antonio, Texas and is a Board Certified Psychiatrist. Prior to training, Dr. Gupta attended medical school at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in in New York. She also holds a master's in biomedical science from Rutgers University in New Jersey and a bachelor's in public health from the University of Maryland. She is on the Early Career Psychiatrist Committee for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists of Greater Washington Area. Dr. Gupta has worked in various settings, ranging from academic centers, schools, state hospitals and residential treatment centers. She also provided medication management and therapy to Medicaid patients in an outpatient setting, delivering care to children and adolescents with various mental health disorders. Dr. Gupta has experience in Emergency Psychiatry as well.

Dr. Gupta greatly values connecting with her patients. She is gentle yet direct in her approach. She uses a shared decision-making process to design a treatment plan that align with her patient’s goals. Dr. Gupta provides psycho education for diagnoses and medication recommendations. Kamyl Bogan, MD

Dr. Kamyl Bogan, a board-certified psychiatrist, attended Vanderbilt University for her undergraduate education and earned her medical degree from the Quillen College of Medicine. She completed her psychiatry residency and community fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. Dr. Bogan was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society in recognition of her compassionate care and was selected as an APA SAMHSA Fellow, where she designed a conference focused on resources for individuals with substance use disorders.

Dr. Bogan strives to create a welcoming and supportive environment for her patients. She listens with empathy and compassion, ensuring that every individual feels heard and safe throughout their care. She is dedicated to practicing with cultural humility and responsiveness, using evidence-based approaches to meet the diverse needs of those she serves.

Zachary Myslinski, MD

Dr. Zac Myslinski is a staff psychiatrist who provides thoughtful, evidence-based care for adults facing a wide range of difficulties. He is committed to creating a welcoming, collaborative space where patients from all backgrounds, including but not limited to the LGBTQ+ community, feel heard and supported.

He earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Dartmouth College and his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medicine, where he received the Richard Kohl Prize for Excellence in Psychiatry. He completed his psychiatry residency at Harvard-Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he served as chief resident of the Consult-Liaison/Emergency Department Psychiatry service. He has also conducted research on Alzheimer’s disease and health system economics.

Melissa Sims, PMHNP

Melissa Sims, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2022 and has since worked in both community mental health and correctional settings.

Zeynep Altun, MD

Dr. Zeynep Altun is board-certified in Psychiatry and holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience. Dr. Altun graduated cum laude from Istanbul University, Istanbul Medical School. She completed her residency training in Neurology and is Turkish board-certified in clinical Neurology. Subsequently, she moved to the U.S. and finished her Ph.D. in cellular Neuroscience at Cornell University Graduate School of Medical Sciences. Dr. Altun completed her psychiatry residency training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and after, her clinical fellowship in Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program at Columbia University Medical College, New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Altun has practiced in various settings including Bellevue Hospital, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia Doctors Faculty Practice Office, Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Morningside Hospitals. Dr. Altun has held various academic appointments at New York University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry; New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University Medical College Department of Psychiatry; New York State Psychiatric Institute and Mount Sinai School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry. She spent most of her professional career supervising and teaching medical students, psychiatry residents and nurse practitioners. As an adult psychiatrist, Dr. Altun has extensive theoretical knowledge of the nervous system and its disorders and more than 10 years of experience in treating various mental illnesses including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, autism-spectrum and neuropsychiatric disorders, psychiatric emergencies and crisis management as well as cognitive behavioral and supportive psychotherapy. In Columbia Doctors, she collaborated closely with the Lieber Recovery Clinic, treating young adults with various mental illnesses.
