Dr. Lorangelly Rivera is board-certified in Adult psychiatry and has been practicing for over 5 years. Dr. Rivera focuses on medication management and brief psychotherapy utilizing techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and supportive therapy in 30-minute appointments. When appropriate, Dr. Rivera may recommend additional psychotherapy with a psychologist as part of the treatment plan. She is fluent in both Spanish and English and is passionate about working with the Latinx population. She completed her bachelor's degree in Cellular Molecular Biology from Metropolitan University, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and her postgraduate work at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Rivera received her medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University School of Medicine, Ponce, Puerto Rico. She completed her residency training in psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center. After completing her training, she began working for Lifespan Physician Group where she became program director for Lifespan Latinx Mental Health Services and served as Staff Psychiatrist at Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital. She holds a faculty position in The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior as a Clinical Instructor. ‍

Luna Sanchez Rivera, MD

Dr. Luna Sanchez Rivera holds the position of Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry. After completing residency in 2016 at the Ponce Medical School Psychiatry Residency in Puerto Rico, she then moved to North Carolina to complete a subspecialty in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Duke University Health System. There, she transitioned into an assistant professor position, focused on structuring pediatric emergency psychiatric services, and helped support the consult and liaison pediatric service. Her years of experience have included working as an integrated care child psychiatrist within outpatient clinics at Duke University Health System, and she trained and worked as a staff psychiatrist at the Inpatient State Facility in North Carolina. She also served in the Dayton Children's Hospital outpatient clinics in Dayton, Ohio, the Appalachian Health System outpatient clinics in Linville, North Carolina, and more recently has been serving the Child and Adolescent inpatient population in Bangor, Maine. Dr. Sanchez Rivera has an approachable style aimed at providing a comprehensive evaluation for all age ranges and is comfortable managing various levels of diagnostic complexities. She provides supportive psychotherapy while using psychodynamic therapy skills to clarify her patient's constellation of symptoms, identify unifying themes and provide thorough psychoeducation throughout the process to drive positive outcomes. Jennifer Snowden, MD

Dr. Jennifer Snowden completed medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1995. She then completed a residency in general psychiatry at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, followed by a fellowship in forensic psychiatry also at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia from 1995-2000. She spent ten years practicing forensic psychiatry at a state hospital in Atlanta. She then decided that she wanted to travel and spent eighteen months as a locum tenens psychiatrist primarily practicing in New England. During this time, she met her future husband and they decided together that they eventually wanted to live in the New England area. In 2013, she officially became a telepsychiatrist, which eventually provided her with the opportunity to move to Rhode Island and practice out of the home she and her husband bought there. She initially saw patients via telepsychiatry at a community mental health center in rural Georgia and later took a position as a remote consultant telepsychiatrist at Acadia Hospital in Bangor, Maine. Dr. Snowden uses a practical and realistic approach with patients to assist them in identifying small, attainable goals and then motivating them to achieve those goals. She prefers to work with adults and relishes the opportunity to work with patients who are highly motivated for change.

Annamaria Moldovan, MD

Dr. Annamaria Moldovan completed her medical education at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj, Romania. She completed a Residency program in Family Medicine at the same institution and was Board certified in the specialty. After coming to the US, she completed the Residency program in Psychiatry at the VCU-Medical College of Virginia. She is board certified in Adult Psychiatry. She became interested in the in-depth study of human development and behavior and enrolled in a program called "Modern Perspectives on Psychodynamic Psychotherapy " at the Washington Psychoanalytic Institute in D.C. When it comes to therapeutic interventions, Dr. Moldovan approaches the bio psychosocial treatment model, where the integration of psycho pharmacology with psychotherapy leads to the best outcomes. Prior to joining Talkiatry, she served as the lead physician for the Program of Assertive Community Treatment in Richmond, Va, while also mentoring psychiatry residents from VCU in the psychodynamic psychotherapy modality. After moving to Providence, RI, she worked at the RIH Department of Psychiatry, in the inpatient and outpatient settings, being awarded the title of Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Later, she worked for the Steward Physicians Group at the Morton Hospital in Taunton, MA, where she had the privilege of working in the Inpatient Geriatric Unit, as well as in the outpatient clinic. She is excited to join Talkiatry, beginning a new chapter in her career. The conditions she is most interested in treating are the Depressive disorders, Anxiety Disorders, PTSD, OCD, Bipolar, ADHD, Cognitive Disorders, and Personality Disorders.

Tim Kelly, MD

Dr. Tim Kelly is a board-certified psychiatrist who specializes in adult psychiatry. His practice focuses primarily on medication management but often incorporates aspects of supportive, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioral therapies into his 30-minute follow-up visits. Dr. Kelly also strongly believes in working in conjunction with therapists to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients. He feels it is important to create strong therapeutic relationships with his patients in order to help patients achieve their treatment goals. Dr. Kelly received his undergraduate degrees in Human Biology and Spanish from Michigan State University. He then completed his medical education and a master's degree in medical humanities and bioethics at Northwestern University. He completed his adult psychiatry residency at the University of Washington. He has authored papers in medical education and LGBTQ advocacy. Dr. Kelly now lives in Pennsylvania with his husband, Kevin, and three dogs: Taquito, Fergie and Mimi. While Dr. Kelly treats adults of all backgrounds, he has a particular interest in working with young adults, students, and LGBTQ individuals.‍

Ian Sanders is a licensed clinical mental health counselor and licensed professional counselor who has 12 years of experience with adolescents, adults, and families. Ian has helped clients in diverse demographics manage conditions ranging from depression, anxiety, work stress, LGBTQIA matters, family matters, and situations/adjustment concerns. Ian has worked in Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient, and Employee/Family Assistant Program settings. Ian earned his Master's Degree in Counseling from Concordia University - Wisconsin and his Bachelor's Degree from Western Illinois University. Ian is also a National Board Certified Counselor. Laura Obler, MD

Dr. Laura Obler is board-certified in adult psychiatry. She received her medical degree from David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in Los Angeles, California, where she stayed to complete her psychiatry residency at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience. During residency she received specialized training in reproductive psychiatry (the treatment of women who are considering pregnancy or are pregnant or postpartum) and acted as Chief Resident of the Women's Life Center at UCLA. Dr. Obler has experience working with a diverse group of patients. She has previously worked in community clinics in the greater Los Angeles area and as a staff psychiatrist at UCLA. She prefers a holistic approach to psychiatric treatment and therefore uses a combination of medication management and talking therapies to treat patients. Techniques she may utilize include cognitive behavioral therapy, experiential psychodynamic therapy, mentalization based therapy, and medical hypnosis.
