Lorangelly Rivera, MD

Dr. Lorangelly Rivera is board-certified in Adult psychiatry and has been practicing for over 5 years. Dr. Rivera focuses on medication management and brief psychotherapy utilizing techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and supportive therapy in 30-minute appointments. When appropriate, Dr. Rivera may recommend additional psychotherapy with a psychologist as part of the treatment plan. She is fluent in both Spanish and English and is passionate about working with the Latinx population. She completed her bachelor's degree in Cellular Molecular Biology from Metropolitan University, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and her postgraduate work at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Rivera received her medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University School of Medicine, Ponce, Puerto Rico. She completed her residency training in psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center. After completing her training, she began working for Lifespan Physician Group where she became program director for Lifespan Latinx Mental Health Services and served as Staff Psychiatrist at Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital. She holds a faculty position in The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior as a Clinical Instructor. ‍

Maria Orejarena Serrano, MD

Dr. Orejarena is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She finished her residency from Yale University and the University of Texas Houston. She has done extensive research on psychiatry during her PhD in Neuropsychopharmacology and a Master's in Neuroscience. She is bilingual in Spanish and English. She incorporates different therapy modalities and evidence-based treatments, tailored to each person's needs. She enjoys applying her knowledge in neuroscience and pharmacology into her clinical practice and believes a combination of medication and psychotherapy yields the best treatment outcomes.

Her ultimate goal is to help patients feel their best and accomplish their own goals by developing tools to navigate internal or external obstacles that are part of life. Dr. Orejarena is originally from Colombia, where she earned her medical degree from Universidad Industrial de Santander. She pursued a Master's in Neuroscience at the University of Barcelona and a PhD in Neuropharmacology at the Universidad Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain. Her PhD thesis was honored summa cum laude.

She completed a postdoctoral fellowship training at the Institut de Neurobiologie de la Mediterranee in Marseille, France. She is the author of multiple peer-reviewed publications and has presented her research at national and international meetings. Over the years, she has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, acute care, psychiatric hospitals as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center.‍‍

William Gamberino, MD

Dr. Gamberino is a board certified adult psychiatrist who has been in practice for over 25 years. He has always been fascinated by how the brain works, especially in the setting of stress, anxiety, and trauma. He completed his training at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine MD/PhD program and earned his PhD in Neuroscience. He subsequently completed a Residency in Adult Psychiatry including an Anxiety Disorder Research Fellowship at the University of Florida. Dr. Gamberino had a private practice for over 10 years with a focus on providing psychotherapy integrated with pharmacological management. He worked for 25 years with adult and geriatric Veterans at Department of Veterans Affairs with focus on treating PTSD, as well as a full range of anxiety and mood disorders including 7 years of providing care through telehealth treatment. Dr. Gamberino also has 10 years of experience working with adolescents in the juvenile justice system.

Dr. Gamberino is experienced and comfortable treating a wide variety of psychiatric conditions including PTSD, mood disorders such as major depression and bipolar disorder, and all anxiety disorders such as generalized anxiety disorder, social phobia, panic disorder, and OCD. He enjoys sharing knowledge with patients to help them better understand the origins of their symptoms and a range of strategies to manage them.

Dr. Gamberino utilizes a non-paternalistic approach respecting the autonomy of his patients while helping them gain insight into their presenting problems utilizing a collaborative shared decision making approach to help reduce symptoms and optimize functioning. His practice combines evidence-based medication management with psychotherapy utilizing elements of supportive, cognitive behavior, and insight-oriented therapy. Dr. Gamberino utilizes a patient, caring approach, meeting patients where they are to empower them with making changes that lead toward improvement and optimization of their wellness.

Kristin Ratz, MD

Dr. Kristin Ratz is a Board-Certified psychiatrist who is an expert in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental, emotional and behavioral disorders. She specializes in medication management combined with supportive therapy during 30-minute follow-up sessions. Dr. Ratz recognizes that each patient is unique and believes in an environment of collaboration, in which the patient and psychiatrist work together in order to develop the best individualized treatment plan. A California local, Dr. Ratz obtained her undergraduate education at University of California, Davis, graduating magna cum laude with a degree in Human Development. She then attended medical school at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, obtaining her Medical Doctorate. Following this, she completed her adult psychiatry residency training at the distinguished University of California, Irvine. Dr. Ratz has worked in a diverse range of healthcare settings, including county and community clinics, and is very experienced in telepsychiatry. She pays close attention to not only an individual's emotional state, but also their physical, spiritual, and social well-being, in order to provide her patients with exceptional holistic care.

Gloria Odum, MD

Dr. Gloria Odum is a board-certified psychiatrist who treats adult patients. She completed her undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, where she received her Bachelor's degree with Honors in Public Health, then completed her medical degree at The University of Texas at Houston. She completed her residency in psychiatry at the University of Texas Dell Medical School in Austin, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Odum has worked in several clinical, leadership and administrative positions and has been actively involved in teaching and community outreach. She previously worked at The Menninger Clinic, which specializes in psychotherapeutic treatments. Dr. Odum has expertise in treating a wide variety of mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, OCD, and addiction. Dr. Odum strongly believes in treating the person and not the diagnosis. Dr. Odum's approach is holistic, collaborative, supportive, and patient-centered. Dr. Odum has been in practice since 2011.

Theresa Colberg, MD

Dr. Theresa Colberg is a board certified adult psychiatrist. She offers guidance with navigating difficult and painful emotions that may result from stressful life situations, such as the loss of or separation from a loved one, work related stressors, burn out, adult and childhood trauma, OCD and mood disorders including major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and various anxiety disorders. Within a safe, and supportive working relationship, Dr. Colberg will strive to reach an understanding of your unique situation, identify the issues that are interfering with progress, and develop a plan to better identify and achieve your goals.

Previous to joining Talkiatry, Dr. Colberg served as a clinical psychiatrist for the VA Healthcare System, providing care for veterans with a predominant focus on treatment of post traumatic stress disorder. She has also worked collaboratively as an integrated psychiatrist for a primary care FQHC, treating primarily trauma and stressor related disorders within a primary care setting.

Dr. Colberg completed her Psychiatry Residency from Mount Sinai-Beth Israel in New York City and obtained her medical degree from Temple Medical School in Philadelphia. She offers 60-minute initial appointments and 30-minute follow-up appointments, and she won't hesitate to collaborate with other mental health experts as necessary to better support your needs.

Jylia Lobanova, MD

Dr. Jylia Lobanova is a board-certified psychiatrist who began her medical career in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where she worked at the Central Psychiatric Hospital. After moving to the U.S., she completed her residency at MetroHealth Medical Center, affiliated with Case Western Reserve University. She has treated diverse populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including work at Portage Health Clinic in Ohio, Harris Health in Houston, and Legacy Community Health, where she focused on LGBTQ and HIV-positive patients.

Dr. Lobanova values building a trustful and respectful therapeutic relationship. She creates a welcoming space for open communication and mutual understanding, which she believes is the cornerstone of effective treatment. She is especially passionate about supporting patients from diverse cultural backgrounds and has a special interest in women’s mental health across the lifespan.

Dr. Lobanova takes a holistic approach to care, combining medications, psychotherapy, psychoeducation, proper nutrition, and physical activity.
