Jessica Muñoz, LMHC

Staff Therapist

Jessica Muñoz, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, EMDRIA-trained trauma therapist, and board-certified clinician with niche expertise in trauma, PTSD, CPTSD, and the lasting effects of sexual assault, narcissistic abuse, coercive control, and litigation abuse.

As a visible survivor and expert in gender-based violence, she supports individuals navigating retraumatizing systems, including family and divorce courts where litigation abuse can occur. Jessica brings clinical depth from bedside experience in the neurological ICU, emergency departments, inpatient psychiatry, and community mental health. She now integrates research and advocacy in her work, focusing on survivor-designed and evidence-based practices.

She believes that trauma recovery is a process that honors cultural identity on both sides (therapist's and client's), lived experience, and the survivor’s autonomy in healing.

Drawing from EMDR and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), her treatment style is structured, trauma-informed, and culturally grounded. She specializes in body-based trauma, including dissociation, numbing behaviors, and complex PTSD. Jessica integrates somatic techniques such as trauma-informed strength training and boxing to process trauma stored in the body and reconnect the mind with the body.
