Syed Abbasi, MD

Dr. Syed Abbasi is an adult psychiatrist who completed his undergraduate education at Rutgers University and earned his medical degree at Ross University. He completed his psychiatry residency training at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center with training at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, additionally as Chief Resident at Columbia University's Outpatient Adult Psychiatry Eye-6 clinic. Dr. Abbasi is passionate about and experienced in providing holistic, thoughtful, evidence-based care for patients with depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma-related disorders, relationship issues and struggles with self-image. He believes empathy and understanding are the most fundamental components of the doctor-patient relationship. Dr. Tim Kelly is a board-certified psychiatrist who specializes in adult psychiatry. His practice focuses primarily on medication management but often incorporates aspects of supportive, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioral therapies into his 30-minute follow-up visits. Dr. Kelly also strongly believes in working in conjunction with therapists to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients. He feels it is important to create strong therapeutic relationships with his patients in order to help patients achieve their treatment goals. Dr. Kelly received his undergraduate degrees in Human Biology and Spanish from Michigan State University. Dr. Kelly now lives in Pennsylvania with his husband, Kevin, and three dogs: Taquito, Fergie and Mimi. Mary Poupon, PMHNP

Mary Poupon is an experienced board certified psychiatric APRN/psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 30 years' experience in her field. She completed her graduate work at Columbia University and is published in her field. Her practice sites have included inpatient hospital treatment, partial hospital programs, in-home programs, outpatient clinics and alternative therapy including equine assisted therapy.  She was the program director and clinician with the Ryan White Mental Health Program in New York providing innovative mental health treatment for adolescents and adults living with HIV/AIDS in the boroughs of Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx.  In 2013 she became certified as an equine assisted psychotherapist and served as the Director of Mental Health at Embrace Hope in Sandy Hook, CT. She was appointed as the Executive Director of Embrace Hope in 2017. Embrace Hope provided treatment to children, adolescents and adults who were victims of trauma related to the shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School. She presented a TED x talk in 2018 regarding her work with victims of trauma. She has provided treatment in the outpatient setting for children, teens, and adults. She has provided treatment to young adults at the Covenant House New York shelter program for homeless young adults.

Mary believes the human spirit is resilient. There are many challenges in the lifespan and self-care is paramount to success.

Candice Webb, DO

Background and credentials  

Dr. Webb is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and  Neurology. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the  University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, and obtained her medical degree  in Osteopathic Medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic  Medicine. Dr. Webb completed her psychiatry residency training at Palm Beach  Consortium for Graduate Medical Education in Tamarac, Florida. After her  training, she served as an attending psychiatrist with the Department of  Veterans Affairs in Miami, Florida, and as an attending psychiatrist and  mentor for psychiatry residents in training at the University of Miami,  Florida International University, and University Hospital and Medical Center  in Tamarac.

Dr. Webb believes in building strong therapeutic relationships with her  patients, integrating conservative psychological treatments and lifestyle  modifications to enhance overall well-being and quality of life. She  primarily provides medication management combined with supportive or  emotionally focused therapy. Dr. Webb emphasizes creating individualized care  plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. While medication and  supportive therapy are central to her approach, she occasionally recommends  involving an additional therapist to optimize treatment outcomes. Dr. Webb  specializes in managing a broad range of psychiatric conditions, including  depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, postpartum depression, OCD, and  PTSD.

Albert Fernandez, MD

Shi Xun Fang, MD

Dr. Fang is a board-certified psychiatrist who completed his psychiatry residency at Duke University, where he received extensive training in Psychopharmacology, Psychotherapy (“Talk Therapy”), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). Throughout his life, Dr. Fang has lived in various places such as China, Canada, Upstate New York, Maine, and North Carolina, where he currently resides. This rich cultural experience allows him to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds, which is crucial in the field of psychiatry where treatment is so highly personal. Dr. Fang has also practiced in multiple settings including a college mental health clinic, an adult ADHD clinic, a perinatal psychiatry clinic, a VA hospital, and a residential recovery program.

While Dr. Fang’s current practice is primarily focused on medication treatment, he utilizes his training as a therapist to ensure that patients feel understood and empowered to discuss any other issues they might be facing. With experience in many modalities of therapy including Psychodynamic, Supportive, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dr. Fang knows that one size does NOT always fit all. If more in-depth therapy is felt to be beneficial, Dr. Fang may refer clients to a separate therapist.

Priya Mukhopadhyay, MD

Dr. Priya Mukhopadhyay is a board certified adult psychiatrist. She completed her psychiatry residency training at Richmond University Medical Center in NYC. She has practiced in various settings over her career including inpatient, outpatient, comprehensive psychiatric emergency program (CPEP), and the consult liaison service to name a few.
