Eudora Jones, PMHNP

Eudora Jones, PMHNP, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She earned her master’s degree in biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University and her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Maryland. She also completed a nursing practice degree from Chatham University. Eudora has worked in inpatient psychiatry at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry at Fort Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital. She brings a strong background in research and has served as a biologist, nurse, and nurse practitioner at the National Institutes of Health.

Eudora uses a patient-centered, collaborative approach with a primary focus on medication management combined with supportive therapy. She applies evidence-based treatment strategies and emphasizes psychoeducation and achieving treatment goals through mutually agreed-upon methods. She specializes in treating adults with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and ADHD.

New patients can expect a comprehensive initial interview that includes an assessment of psychiatric history, current symptoms, medication history, and social background. Emily-Rose Virden, PMHNP-BC, earned her advanced nursing degree at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions and has many years of experience as both a psychiatric nurse and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has practiced across a wide range of mental health settings, including inpatient, outpatient, partial programs, and Emergency Room care.

She strives to build trusting relationships with her patients and values open, honest communication throughout the treatment process. Emily-Rose creates an inclusive, supportive environment where every patient feels heard, respected, and genuinely cared for.

During initial appointments, she explores each patient’s history and current concerns to determine the most appropriate treatment plan. She works collaboratively with patients to set meaningful goals and encourages ongoing participation in each session to support strong, successful outcomes.

Giselle Brito, MD

Staff Psychiatrist

Dr. Giselle Brito is board-certified in adult psychiatry and has been practicing for over 4 years. She received her medical degree from San Juan Bautista, School of Medicine in Puerto Rico and continued her medical education at Jackson Memorial Hospital & University of Miami Hospital for her 4-year psychiatry residency training program. After completing her training, Dr. Brito worked at the Miami Veterans Affairs Hospital and then the Orlando Veterans Affairs Hospital in the primary care mental health integrated model. Dr. Brito also holds certification in Perinatal Mental Health. Dr. Brito's practice focuses on medication management and supportive psychotherapy in typically 30-min follow up visits. At times, additional psychotherapy is needed and a therapist may be added to provide the best outcome.‍

Catherine Shim, MD

Staff Psychiatrist

Dr. Catherine Shim is a board-certified psychiatrist and completed her training at the University of Washington, where she received additional certifications in Psychotherapy and Community Psychiatry.  Prior to joining Talkiatry, she spent years serving the mental health needs of underserved communities as well as our Veteran population.  Dr. Cat is excited to bring that same dedication and selfless service to her Talkiatry patients!

Dr. Cat is experienced in managing a multitude of mental health conditions, but her specialty is providing behaviorally oriented trauma-informed care.  Her approach is to treat primarily through psychotherapy and behavioral change, with medication management serving as an important (and often essential) adjuvant to optimizing mental health.

Dr. Cat tends to have a very casual engagement style, so expect a frank but open conversation during your first meetings with her.  Following that initial screening, anticipate a candid discussion about her approach to your condition and an initial treatment plan.  Please feel free to bring up any questions or concerns at any time during this process, and note-taking is highly encouraged!

Nidhi Sharoha, DO

Staff Psychiatrist

Dr. Nidhi Sharoha is a double board certified psychiatrist in Psychiatry and Consultation Liaison Psychiatry. She completed her undergraduate training at Stony Brook University followed by medical school at New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has completed both a Residency in Psychiatry and Fellowship in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry at Nassau University Medical Center.

Dr. Sharoha has held academic appointments at Stony Brook University Hospital, practicing as a consultant psychiatrist and Associate Director of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship. “Dr. Sharoha has accrued experience and expertise in Perinatal Psychiatry through her training in CL psychiatry. Currently, Dr. Sharoha is serving as President Elect of Long Island District Branch  of APA. She  has formerly served as Associate Director of Clinical Education here at Talkiatry.” She has contributed to education, training and supervision of trainees and physicians throughout her career.   She continues to stay up to date with current psychiatric knowledge.

She has a genuine interest in treating a vast array of psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, and obsessive compulsive and related disorders. She also has experience in treating patients with medical comorbidities and has training in issues related to women's health. Patients looking for a psychiatric provider will find that Dr. Sharoha has a gentle approach to diagnosis and management of her patients. She believes in the principle that body and mind are interconnected, which allows her to provide comprehensive care to all of her patients.

Ying Wang, MD

Staff Psychiatrist

Dr. Wang is a board-certified psychiatrist in both General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry, with extensive experience in providing compassionate, evidence based to mental healthcare. She currently serves as an outpatient psychiatrist providing care to veterans, where she integrates evidence-based medication management with psychotherapy. Dr. Wang completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she also contributed to clinical education through supervising residents and conducting quality improvement initiatives.

Dr. Wang believes in crafting individualized treatment plans that address both the biological and psychological aspects of mental illness. She specializes in the combined use of psychotherapy and medication management to support long-term healing. Dr. Wang encourages her patients to become active participants in their recovery process and empowers them to grow into their own healers. Her therapeutic approach emphasizes insight, autonomy, and long-term well-being.

During the initial visit, patients can expect a warm, thoughtful, and collaborative evaluation. Dr. Wang takes time to understand her patients’ symptoms, personal history, strengths, and goals in order to develop a tailored and sustainable treatment plan. Connie Hsiao, MD

Dr. Connie Hsiao is a double board-certified Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist. She earned her medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine, completed her Adult Psychiatry Residency at UT Health San Antonio, and pursued Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Hsiao has extensive experience treating diverse patient populations across various clinical settings.

Dr. Hsiao values open communication, collaboration, and building a safe, supportive environment where patients feel heard and respected. She treats a wide range of mental health concerns—including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and life transitions—in children, adolescents, and adults. She emphasizes trust and mutual understanding in the therapeutic relationship.

In the initial visit, Dr. Hsiao conducts a comprehensive evaluation to understand each patient’s unique history, concerns, and goals. She utilizes evidence-based medication management alongside therapeutic strategies to create personalized treatment plans that reflect and support her patients’ needs and aspirations.
