Biography
Catherine Nwora is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who believes mental health care is most effective when patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in treatment. She creates a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where patients can openly discuss concerns, identify goals, and develop individualized treatment plans that fit their needs and lifestyle.
Catherine takes a collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based approach to care. She understands that beginning mental health treatment can feel overwhelming, so she prioritizes trust, open communication, and patient education throughout the process. She focuses on treating the whole person by considering emotional, social, medical, and lifestyle factors that impact mental wellness.
Catherine begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to explore mental health history, current concerns, stressors, sleep, relationships, medications, and treatment goals. Together, she and her patients create personalized care plans that may include medication management, supportive therapy, coping strategies, lifestyle recommendations, and coordination with other providers. Follow-up visits focus on progress, treatment adjustments, and building long-term stability and confidence.
