Biography
Hello! I’m Brennan, a psychiatric nurse practitioner. My practice is grounded in compassion, curiosity, transparency, and creating an inclusive space where you feel heard and respected. I specialize in PTSD and C-PTSD and work with LGBTQIA+ concerns, polyamory/ENM, weight-loss psychiatry, and other areas that may not receive attention in traditional mental health settings.
Your first appointment begins with a conversation about what is troubling you, not simply assigning a diagnosis. I want to understand your symptoms, concerns, history, goals, and what you hope to get from treatment. We’ll discuss explanations and treatment options, including approaches with and without medication. You should expect compassion, careful questioning, and an honest conversation. We’ll work toward a plan that addresses your needs and clarifies next steps.
My approach follows a “no surprise” method of communication. If your diagnosis, medication, treatment approach, or therapy style needs to change, I’ll explain what changed, why, and what information led us there. You should never feel like decisions are being made without you. I value open communication and want you to feel secure, respected, and heard. My goal is to work with you rather than tell you what to do. We’ll assess what is working, what isn’t, and adjust so your care aligns with your goals.
